KAT'S P.O.V
My stomach feels as though it's being jabbed with knives but I'm too distracted by what Justin did to care.
What did he try to tell me on my second day of being here which made him do...that to me?
I rack my brain for memory but no doors open. Was it something I did? Did I ask him to do that? No, I would never...
The bell rings and I give up.
We start walking and I tug on Justin's hand. "Okay, fine. I give up. What were you trying to tell me on my second day?"
He smirks, looking ahead as we walk into the CC. "Nothing. I just made that up."
My mouth opens in shock. "Are you kidding me? So I spent that whole time thinking of something that didn't even happen!?"
He chuckles. "Yeah, I'm quite amazed that you were so eager to know what I said. When I didn't say anything at all."
I shoot daggers at him. "Why the hell'd you do that?"
"So you'd stop worrying about my food. And it worked quite well, didn't it?" He grins, obviously proud of himself.
We walk into our cell.
"So you kissed me and...touched me like that...to make me stop thinking of your food?"
He nods.
I hit him on his shoulder. "I hate you."
I gasp as he pins me down on the bed. He looks seductively into my eyes, making my heart stop.
"We both know you love me," he whispers huskily.
"Um, Justin... Can I have my medicine now?"
He widens his eyes before sitting up. "Oh, right."
"Looks like you're not the only one that can make people forget." I wink, laughing.
He hooks his teeth on his lower lip. "I didn't forget... I just..."
"Forgot?" I giggle.
He rolls his eyes jokingly. "Whatever."
Fishing around in his pocket, he pulls out the two bottles. He places the blue one on the bed and opens the red one.
"You're sure this one will make me feel better?" I ask, feeling uncertain.
He nods. "It's our best shot."
"Okay," I say. "But how much should I have?"
"Well...Spuckler couldn't have given you that much if you couldn't taste a difference, so I guess not very much." He thinks about it.
"Or maybe it's tasteless." I look at him doubtfully.
"Well just have a bit for now."
He hands me the bottle so I sit up, scrutinizing it. Bringing it to my mouth, I tip it slightly, not wanting to have it rush out.
"That's it, baby," Justin says, watching the bottle with complete precision. I taste a few drops and hand the bottle back to Justin. He stares at me, inwardly asking how I feel.
"I-I don't feel any different."
He looks disappointed.
"But it'll probably take time to kick in," I say.
"That's true." He nods.
He gets off the bed, putting the lid on the red bottle and taking the blue one from the bed. Walking over to the bench, he puts them on it before coming back over.
