'I let myself into Lando's apartment, twirling the key around my finger as I shut the door behind me. It had only been a week since I found out who he really was, but it didn't change anything. If anything, we'd only gotten more comfortable, like we'd just picked up where we left off in another life.
The place was quiet, sunlight slipping lazily through the blinds. I knew where he was before I even looked, his bedroom, undoubtedly passed out after training all morning.
I grinned.
He was still asleep.
After training all morning, he'd crashed on his bed, and while I could've let him rest, where was the fun in that?
Oh, this was going to be fun.
Slipping off my shoes, I crept down the hall, pushing open his bedroom door just enough to peek inside. The room was dim, curtains drawn, but I could make out the mess of tangled sheets and the very shirtless, very asleep man buried in them. He was sprawled out on his stomach, tangled in the sheets, one arm tucked under the pillow and the other hanging off the side of the bed. I could never, out of fear of the boogeyman, I kept all limbs within the bed at all times.
What a man.
How brave.
I took a second to admire the view. You know, just appreciate the situation I had walked into. The toned lines of his back, the tan, the way his muscles shifted even in sleep.
Alright. Enough staring.
I launched myself onto the bed.
Lando jolted awake with a muffled oof, groaning as I landed squarely on his back.
"Rise and shine, barbarian!" I chirped, bracing my hands against his shoulder blades and pressing down like I was giving the world's worst massage.
He groaned into his pillow.
His voice was low, sleepy, still rough around the edges. "Still sleeping."
I huffed, doubling down, straddling his lower back, and shoving my hands against his shoulder blades like I was performing CPR. "What about now?"
He made a pleased low noise that absolutely was not the reaction I was going for. "Kinda nice, actually."
I paused. "You're enjoying this?"
"Mmm," he mumbled. "A little lower."
I sat back, crossing my arms. "Well, fine. I was going to tell you my very important news, but since you're half-asleep and utterly useless—"
