I lifted another set of kitchen knives without touching them, using that cool new power to practice. I got them high in the air barely using any strength at all, but I did feel the knives in my head, as if I was holding them. I focused on the wall I was supposed to throw them at, and launched them. I smiled when it worked and they clanked to the ground.
"Very good." Vincent said, he was incharge of watching me this hour. "Now I'm guessing you're thirsty." he said. I turned around and looked at him. The burning in my throat got worse. I haven't had a drink in a day, and it was killing me. I bared my fangs in thirst. He laughed. "I always loved watching fledglings when they are thirsty, the way they bare their fangs, and their eyes become deadly. I used to fear fledglings, because they were so dangerous to be around, but now that I know how to fight them with little to no energy at all, I'm a lot less scared." he explained. I barely was able to take in what he said because I was so thirsty. He went to the door that leads outside and opened it, revealing sunlight. I shoved back into the shadows away from the burning sun. A person stepped into the room, a human. Her smell hit me like a steel wall. My fangs got sharper and my eyes heated up, along with my throat turning into a flaming fireplace.
"Go ahead, drink." he instructed. I shook my head.
"No this is wrong." I protested.
"It's only wrong if you make it wrong Beverly." he moved her hair and tipped her head so her neck was bare, my senses burned. He leaned down and sunk his teeth in then letting go, allowing blood to trickle down her collar bone. I started hyperventilating. The only thing worse then a human with blood, is a human with blood exposed. Behind the skin it's less tempting, once it's escaped, there's no turning back. My body went into a frenzy, I could not focus on anything. Vincent stepped back leaving space for me as I whizzed up to the girl and sunk my fangs into her neck. She made a slight noise, but she was already possessed to sit still. Her blood went into my mouth and it tasted so warm, so....there were no words to describe it. I had to get more. I sucked and sucked. Letting the waterfall of blood gush down my burning throat. It helped cool down the burn, but I still needed more. Then the blood stopped completely. I retracted my fangs to find the girl sucked dry. I dropped her limp body to the floor. I tilted my head back licking the final remains of her blood off of my lips and teeth. I hissed. My throat was simmered, but it was rising up again from lack of blood. I heard two male chuckles, I turned around, not only was Vincent there, but also Keanan.
"I have to admit, that was very entertaining to watch." Keanan chuckled. I retracted my fangs and felt my eyes die down on the red. My thirst was quenched for now. Keanan put his hand on Vincent's shoulder. "My turn buddy." Vincent laughed and left the room. I watched him leave and when I turned back to Keanan he was smirking at me.
"I'll take care of the body later." he explained. I completely forgot about the dead girls body on the floor. I nodded.
"I still can't believe I just did that." I whispered. I hid my face, I was ashamed to have killed someone.
"Don't worry, every vampire ends up killing at least one person. Your precious boyfriend has killed way more than one." he replied.
"He's not my boyfriend." I spat with plenty of venom. He walked towards me.
"Really? Because it seems you still have feelings for him." he came extrememly close. When I thought about Chance, I didn't have one single feeling of love, all I felt was hatred and disgust.
"I will never feel for him the way I used to, I was a foolish human." I hissed through my teeth. He was way too close for comfort.
"I'll be the judge of that." he stated. Next thing I know his lips were on mine, pressing hard against my lips. My vampire self actuallly liked the heat it was making. At first I was shocked, then angry, then I sank into it. I tangled my hands in his soft hair, as he lifted me up on the kitchen counter and pressed his body in between my legs. I know what sex feels like, it wasn't unknown to me. But I let my normal mind come back, and this didn't feel right to me. So I shoved him hard against the opposite wall using my inhuman strength and my power. He hit the wall with a loud thump and made the wall have a crack in it. He moaned in pain, I got off the counter, walked over to him, and hovered over his body.
"What the hell?!" he screamed at me.
"Don't think for one second that I would ever fall into your trap. I'm here for strictly business. I've made up my mind about you, and I'm not about to change it, no matter what you do. So if you have any brain in that thick skull of yours, you would stay away from me." I hissed with much venom. I turned around and ran out the door without looking back. All of a sudden, the entire house started sounding of a bunch of running all over the place.
"Kieyera!" Des yelled.
"What!" she came running in.
"They're coming! We can't delay them anymore! They'll be here in a matter of minutes!" Burrell explained. Keanan came in at that moment. He was rubbing his head, I mentally patted myself on the back.
"We must go then! Bev, you ready?" she asked me. I nodded. We started heading out the door, wait!
"Wait a minute! I still don't know how Chance imprinted on me, or how it's broken!" I yelled out. Everyone kept running at inhuman speed, except Kieyera came next to me to explain.
"When you were human, the beach, when you both promised to be each others forever, thats when you imprinted, that final kiss mended the bond." she explained. I remembered when I watched that video of it, how I cried and puked. Speaking of crying and puking, ever since I became a vampire I don't puke when I cry! Amazing!
"Wait, so how do you break the bond?" I asked. She shook her head and ran faster to catch up with the others. I ran faster to catch up to her.
"We're getting close! I can smell them!" Corette informed because she was ahead.
"Please Kieyera! Just tell me!" I yelled. She was still running but turned around to face me.
"The half blood has to kill the person he imprinted with! That's the only way, if the person kills the half blood, then they will forever feel their pain of dying! It has to be the half blood to kill!" she explained. I stopped thinking. The only way I can break this stupid imprinted bond between Chance and I was if he killed me?! Well that wasn't very productive at all! All of a sudden everyone stopped, me being in the back I stayed there. I didn't know what was ahead, but I knew it was time.
"Hello Ronin, nice to see you again. Chance, my one and only murder." Kieyera greeted people I couldn't see.
"Kieyera!" they both gasped in a whisper.
