Do you ever wake up one day and feel powerful? I always thought it was just the dream I had, or the music I listened to. But today I woke up dreamless, without music being played, and I feel full of power that I've never felt before. I was laying in my bed staring at the ceiling, trying to figure out what it was, but nothing came to mind. Why was I feeling like this? It was like all this stuff was stored into my system. I need to calm down, that's it, I'm just overwhelmed. I took a couple deep breaths and felt my heart rate go down.

"Bev! Meeting in the green room in five minutes!" I heard Vincent call through my door.

"K thanks!" I heard him walk away. I took one last deep breath before sitting up. I gasped so hard I lost all breath. Everything in the room was floating above the floor. How is that possible?! I quickly got out of bed and walked to the dresser which was also above the ground. I stared and nothign happened. Was I doing this? I lifted my hand to find out, I waved my hand and sure enough the dresser moved with me. I gasped, looking at my hands. I lowered the dresser and everything back down.

"What is this?" I asked.

"Beverly?" a voice asked behind me. In instinct I flipped around and shoved a decor rock at the person. She moved just in time.

"Looks like your powers have developed themselves." Kieyera reacted.

"Powers? What powers? Vampires don't have powers?" I asked.

"Chance does. Only because he is a half blood. And guess what chica, you get some too." she answered.

"How?" I asked.

"Chance imprinted on you." she answered.

"Imprinted?" she rolled her eyes.

"Chance is a half blood, which makes him a living myth of vampire folk tales. Half bloods are said to contain powers unlike any vampire known to Earth. Along with the ability to imprint, to bestow some of their powers into the one the imprint with for protection. But only vampires can acquire the powers. If you are human when you're imprinted the powers are useless. You supposedly have those powers until the half blood breaks the bond." she explained.

"How do you break the bond? How did he imprint on me? When? How many powers are there?" I asked. She grabbed my elbow.

"I'll give you the Vampire Mythology and Folklore book later. First the meeting, Keanan and Burrell have something to tell us." she dragged me out of my room, even though all I wore were booty shorts and a tank top for pjs and my hair was in a ratty mess. We reached the green room in no time, where everyone else was waiting, I saw a couple struggle not to laugh at my attire. I sat on the couch with Des and Corette.

"Now that everyone is here we can tell you what we found in the woods this morning." Burrell said.

"We got a scent trail from your boyfriend." Keanan said directly to me.

"He's not my boyfriend, nor will he ever be." I muttered. I had absolutely no feelings for Chance. I thought of him in complete disgust now, thanks to the vampire switch.

"Anyway, he was too close to the cottage, he would've smelled Bev, and we all know it's too soon for him to come. So we lead them another way to stall, but they'll see past it in a matter of one day at most." Burrell explained.

"That doesn't give us much time at all. Luckily Bev has already started developing her powers. All we need is for her to learn to control them, and then set the trap." Kieyera responded.

"Trap?" I asked.

"We're going to use Chance's powers to out advantage. The royals want us to bring Chance in for his wrong deeds." she answered.

"What about Ronin?" I asked.

"We kill him." Nailah stated.

"Royals orders." Kieyera finished, probably from the expression across my face. "Beverly, we don't have much time. We have to know if you trust us fully, because we can't afford for you to break off at the last minute. Once you're in, there's no turning back. Do you understand?" she explained. Everyone stared at me. Wait! What was I getting myself into? I would have to help them capture Chance, and kill Ronin?! With Ronin dead, how would my mom feel? Would she be alright? Could I trust that my mom would stay alive, and I can't have her worrying about me, they would have to make it so she won't remember me at all. I now have to realize, if I'm going to do this, I have to sacrifice everything, and never look back. I will be fully involved. If this was the right thing to do, then I will have to do it. No questions asked. Will I be willing to do this? Afterall the royals are the ones asking, one thing I've learned abotu hanging around vampires is if they don't follow the royals orders, then they die. If what they say is true, then Chance and Ronin deserve to die, and yet they want to spare Chance. Their orders are the orders of the world. We must follow. And they're giving me a choice to stay with them for the entire run, to never back out, to fulfill my duty, or to end it now before it begins. I don't know what to choose, but I have always trusted Ronin and Chance to do the right thing, but Kieyera has never betrayed me, but Chance has. I trust Kieyera, and if she trusts her rebellion, then I trust them. So I guess I've made my decision.

"I will stand by you no matter what." I answered with confidence. They all smiled. "But, I want my mom to stay protected, btu I want her memory wiped. I can't afford to have her worry about me, she can't remember who I am, but has to live a normal life." I bargained. Kieyera took a minute to absorb my words.

"Vincent, go with Des and wipe her mothers memories." she instructed. She turned to me once they left. "No one will mess with her life Bev." she said gently. I nodded.

"Thank you." I whispered. I suddenly felt a burning on my forearm. I winced and looked as a black symbol tattooed itself to my arm.

"Welcome to the rebellion." they all whispered together.
