I was going a lot faster than I meant to, and it was raining! But I had no time! I had to get to Ronin! I've seen these vampires when they have teamed up and chased after me, it wasn't a fun experience, so I don't intend to deal with it again. Before I knew it, I was hyperventilating. Somethign was about to happen! Right at that moment a dark figure was in the road. I swirved to not hit it, and started hydroplaning. I tried to get control of the car, causing it to flip over and roll across the road at a crashing sound. I hit my head on the window, and then felt glass in my arms and leg. It hurt, but I've felt worse. I could feel a stabbing in my head, I reached up and a sticky wet substance touched my fingers. I was bleeding. Not too badly luckily. All my windows and windshield was shaddered. My car was bent in. I was trapped. I heard footsteps walk towards my side of the car. I struggled. Vampires. I could not be trapped with this many, there had to be five. I tried to reach for my phone. Which was trapped inside my pocket.

"Ronin, Chance." I whispered. Hopign they were near enough to hear, though I highly doubt it. The door on my side shot off within seconds, and a dark face appeared staring at me.

"Yup, she's the one. Beverly, you look hurt. A lot of blood you're spilling." he teased with a cynical tone. I heard chuckles come from the other four vampires surrounding me car. I tried to scoot away, but failed miserably. I felt his cold strong hand grasp my arm, and then I was out of the car. Dang their inhuman speed and strength! He lied me on the paved road. I stared at him and his friends who began surrounding me. My breathing was heavy with pain and fear.

"W-what do you want with me?" I stuttered. My fear always had a stutter to it. A few more chuckles rang through the vamps.

"Not what we want, what she wants. And I'm afraid you're not going to like it, Beverly." he said. I learned never to question a vampire if they knew my name, figures that they do. Not like I'm not a total mystery around here nowadays. He breathed slowly.

"I wish with all my being that I could drink you dry, but orders are orders. So I suggest closing your eyes." he instructed. I knew there was something I didn't want to see. But before I could close my eyes, I felt my loss of blood take hold. As I was drifting, I felt a stabbing pain in both my wrists, and my neck. I was being bitten. Three at a time. I wanted to scream, but I couldn't. So I moaned in pain. Feeling my wound numb, but my body burn. No! They can't! They can't do this to me! I have to stay human! They were turning me! No! I don't want this! I felt tears stream down my numb face. The burning got worse, meaning they were done. Now it was time for the venom to spread. I drifted completely into blackness, still feeling the burning pain, but unable to do anything about it, even make a sound.

"Ronin! You have to stop it! Please! Give her my blood! Please just stop the process!" Chance begged nearly yelling. I felt a soft hand touch mine. But I couldn't open my eyes due to pain.

"I'm so sorry Chance. I can't. They did it hours ago. The possibilty of stopping the process is impossible. It's too late. I really wish I could." Ronin apologized.

"No! She can't be one of us! She needs to stay human!" he yelled. I heard something glass shatter. He was throwing things.

"I just don't understand. Why not just drink her dry? Why did they decide to turn her? And how were they clever enough to do it with perfect timing!" Ronin asked himself. I felt an even stronger soft hand hold my other one.

"They must have a leader, making all the decisions, someone who knows us well. They knew exactly what would set us off." Chance responded. Silence.

"No, it's bigger than that. They must have a purpose for her, then why did they bring her back to us? They must have it all planned out. It's a trap I believe." Ronin reasoned. All the while this was going on, I felt the burning pain start to subside. ANd I was able to twitch my fingers in their hands.

"Chance! She's starting to come around!" Ronin gasped. He quickly looked to me and squeezed my hand tighter. I started blinking my eyes open. "The change is finished." he whispered to Chance as I opened my eyes. They stared at me. I felt fire in my eyes, but they didn't hurt. Red eyes! I quickly stood up and rushed to the bathroon mirror in seconds. I was fast! Inhumanly fast! I looked at myself. I was slightly more pale, with my regular hair color it worked, and then my eyes were blood red, nearly glowing! Ronin and Chance were behind me instantly, watching me closely. I guess as a fledgling I was dangerous and unpredictable. I had to stay calm, but the burning sting in my throat caught my attention. I gasped.

"No!" I gasped quietly. But they heard. I was a vampire! My humanity was gone! I was gone!
