I stood there staring at Ian as he watched our expressions. Did he seriously just say he was our way out? What kind of guy was this anyway? I didn't know him, so why should I trust him? His voice was very convincing, and he gave me butterflies in my stomach every time he looked at me. Doesn't that say something? I wouldn't know. Chance was looking at him with an expression of confused, but he tasted different. Ian looked at me the most, which I had to lean against a tree 'casually', to not fall down because my knees were ready to buckle underneath me. Out of nowhere Chance burst out into hysterical laughter. Ian and I turned to him instantly.

"You serious! How stupid do we look to you?" he asked inbetween laughs. Ian and I were both completely serious. Ian glared at Chance.

"Well, Bev looks pretty smart. You on the other hand..." he responded. Chance stopped laughing immediately. I held back a laugh. Chance and Ian had a glare war. I waited for it to be over.

"Her name is Beverly." Chance responded.

"You call her Bev, why can't I?" Ian asked harshly.

"Because I know Bev better than you. You have no right to call her that without knowing her." Chance answered. Ian sighed and walked over to Chance.

"You'd be surprised." he muttered as he cut the ties holding Chance. Chance instantly got up to show how tall he really was. They were about the same heighth, only Chance was just a tad bit taller. But Ian didn't look scared. "Trying to put on the 'I'm taller than you' act. Trust me Chance, it's not working for you." he smirked. Again I had to hold back a laugh. Why was I even wanting to laugh? What was wrong with me? School girl side of me needs to stay back, or she'll regret it!

"What you think you can take me on?" Chance challenged. Oh, no Chance! Please don't do this now? I don't have time for this. Ian didn't even blink, he actually chuckled.

"Calm down, you don't want to hurt yourself." he chuckled. I giggled a little. No! Stupid school girl! Chance hissed. Next thing I knew I smelled the others returning. Ian and Chance smelt them too.

"Come with me, you two, now! We can talk more when we get to my hide out." I nodded and Chance and I followed him into the opposite way of the others. We were running at full in-human speed. I was terrfified that they would catch our scent and come looking for us, maybe running away wasn't the best idea. Chance stayed next to me. He actually was able to talk to me.

"You don't seriously believe this guy do you?" he asked me. I shrugged.

"What do we have to lose?" I asked.

"Our lives! The future of vampires themselves! The lives of the royals." he named them off. I rolled my eyes. Is he serious? I tasted his emotions, he was jealous. But of what?

"You're just jealous, why?" I asked.

"I'm not jealous." I gave him the 'I know you're lying' look. He sighed.

"He just seems a bit intimidating. He made an affect on you." he explained. I shook my head in disappointment.

"You are impossible."

"What did I do now?" he asked.

"Was an idiot as usual." Ian called back to us. He heard the whole expression.

"No one asked you!" Chance snapped.

"Come on, I bet Bev was thinking the same thing." he responded. He gave me The grin. Butterflies! Why!

"Do you want me to punch that smile right off your face?" Chance asked with anger intended. I sighed in frustration. They just met, and they already are fighting.

"You think you can?" Ian grinned at his remark.

"What kind fo name is Lufian anyway?" Chance asked.

"It means love in Anglo-Saxon." he looked at me when he said love. Giving me the smile. Dude, stop that! I already have a hard time standing when I'm still, you're gonna make me trip over myself. I though to myself. Chance snorted.

"More like brainless and incompetent." he stated. Ian glared at him furiously.

"Go to hell." Ian muttered.

"Holy Hannah! Would you two stop?! You fight like a married couple for crying out loud!" I interrupted their rants. The both looked at me, I expressed complete seriousness. They stayed silent for the rest fo the run, we stopped in front of a patch of thick trees.

"Where are we?" Chance asked. Ian furrowed his eyebrows and walked inbetween the trees and disappeared. Chance and I just looked after him in confusion. Chance looked at me and I shrugged. I walked in the exact place Ian went into, and I shuffled through a bunch of pine, willow, even Wawona's! Those are like exstinct! I didn't know they had them around here. Anyway, I finally made it through into a small clearing, completely hidden away from the layers of thick trees. Chance came in a few seconds later. Ian was sitting against one of the willows.

"What's great about this place, is it blocks out your scents. So they won't be able to track us here." he explained. I walked around the small clearing observing the place.

"This is amazing!" I whispered.

"Glad you like it." Ian said from right behind me. I felt his breath close to my neck.

"So, I need to feed, I'm gonna go hunting." Chance said. Ian turned towards him.

"Alright, but stay close to the thick tree area, they'll help your scent stay masked." he explained. Chance nodded. Chance walked up to me and put his hand softly under my chin and lifted it up so I could look at him.

"I'll be right back." he said. Why was he saying this to me? He lingered there, just staring at me. He tasted of need. He finally let go and walked out. I put my fingers against my temples and tried rubbing all of this weeks stress out of me.

"You don't love him like you did before." Ian stated. I turned to look at him, he was leaning against a tree. I shook my head.

"I wish I did." I explained.

"Maybe you're not supposed to love him anymore. Maybe you're supposed to love somebody else now." he suggested.

"I don't know what you mean." I replied.

"I mean, maybe this was all meant for a reason." he explained.

"But he still loves me, and that makes it hard." I rubbed my temples again. I sat down on the ground. My back muscles started to ache. I tried to rub them, but it didn't work. Next thing I know a pair of hands were vigorously rubbing my shoulders. I looked and Ian wasn't leaning against the tree anymore, he was massaging me. He did it so good that a moan escaped my mouth. Did I seriously just moan? School girl! I told you to stay down!

"You need to decide for yourself, Beverly. Just because he imprinted on you, and still loves you, doesn't mean you don't have a choice. You decide who you love." he replied. I froze. What does he mean? He stopped rubbing my shoulders and walked away from me. He tasted like he wanted to give me space. To think. Could I love someone else? Is that really the reason why I have such a hard time loving Chance again? But who will I love? Ian is, well, he is really attractive. And I get a mountain of butterflies around him, his killer smile makes my knees go weak. Could I consider him as someone to love? No. I shouldn't do that to Chance. Even though I will never be able to get my feelings for him back, no mattter how much we both try. I looked over at Ian who was staring at me intently.

"What will I do, Ian? Chance is set on getting me back." I stated. He shot me his killer smile, luckily I was sitting down.

"Show him that he will be okay without you, that you have moved on." he answered.

"How? If I'm alone, I'm available, I wouldn't have moved on to him." I replied.

"Love someone." he said. I stared into his eyes. "Love me."
