Part 14: Real Truth

--Chance's POV--

I don't know how I'm supposed to react to all of this. Beverly the love of my life was apart of a rebellion against the royals, and she helped them kill Ronin. The father I never had. When I was born, I never met my birth father, my mom was a full blooded vampire and my father also a vampire, which regularly it that made it impossible to have children, but those once in a century people who still have enough humanity to have  achild together create a half human offspring. And I was that one, by chance, that's why they named me Chance. I was a hge surprise, they didnt know it was possible to have children together. Anyway, y mother never explained to me about who my father was and why he I never saw him, she always told me I would figure it out sooner or later. But never gave me any more info. My mother was staked one night after a few years after I left. For some reason, I didn't feel sad about it, probably because I was a power hungyr monster then. I never hought aboout my father much, but now I find myself thinking about him because I lost Ronin. I also feel bad for Bev's mother, how will she take his death?

It was getting to be too dark since we've been running in the direction of the royals. They were planning on taking me there to threaten my blood against them and force them to give up power to ep teh race alive along with themselves. Then take power and rule the world, feeding on whoever they wanted, it would turn into a hell hole on Earth, humans woul barely live past the first few months, then vampires would be forced to kill each other, a full blooded massacre. The running came to a stop and everybody turned to Kieyera.

"We must rest, go hunt if you have to, we leave at dawn, and hopefully by tomorrow night we'll be in Iceland." she said. They all dismissed. Iceland is where the royals live, they created the name for it years ago when the whole history making event happened of confusing the enemies of Greenland and Iceland. We seemed to be around Iowa. The two lesbians, I could tell from their holding hands the whole trip, and the red head boy went hunting. Leaving Bev, a small girl, Kieyera, and the two stronger guys. The small girl and Bev went to start a fire, Kieyera walked up to me with the two strong men standing guard next to me.

"Keanan, watch him. Vincent, you and I will go train by the river.'" the male named Vincent nodded and they both darted into the dark woods. The Keanan dude, who acted like he was intimidating, yeah right, he grabbed my arm and pulled me next to a large dark oak and sat me down. This was all not required, I could do it myself. He leaned against a very close tree and watched me. I ignored his 'I'm so tough' stares and watched Beverly and the small girl build a fire in record speed. I watched Beverly closely. She seemed focus, I don't know what it is about her, but the real Bev is still in there. She didn't shut off her feelings for me completely. I can feel it. All of a sudden Bev eyes made contact with mine. Something in her eyes told me I was right, there's something she neglected to shut off. She looked away quickly and never made eye contact with me again.

"You got it bad!" Keanan interrupted my thoughts, I turned to look at him. "Too bad she doesn't have anything to give you anymore." he chuckled to himself. I rolled my eyes and ignored him.

"You gonna just ignore me? Wow, and I thought I was childish at one point. Just get over her while you can, she's never gonna love you again, heard her say it myself." he kept on going. I tried my best not too show that I was bothered by that. "I can see what you mean though. She's a great kisser." he muttered. I jerked my head in his direction.

"What." I responded. He laughed.

"And he talks! Yes honey, I screwed your girlfriend." he chuckled. No! He's just trying to get underneath my skin.

"You're lying." I stated. He shook his head.

"Nope, it was in the kitchen, it started with a simple kiss, but moved into counter top action. And I must say, she is good." he empasized 'good'. I knew what it was like to have sex with Bev, but we did it out of love. I loved her, and I intended to spend the rest fo my life with her, and she seemed to feel the same way. And now that she is a power hungry creatre of the night, she is sleeping around with the guys from the rebellion! I swallowed back a lump in my throat as my heart felt heavy.
