The following week, it was the day school started on that Monday morning. Ayu dragged herself from her bed and reluctantly walked to school in an effortless manner. But once she approached the entrance way of her school, she found something unfamiliar awaiting for her at the gate.

Glancing up from the ground, her eyes trailed on a particular figure with his body leaning on the brick wall, hands in his pockets and leg propped. It was Sasuke who looked quite dazed by the way his head was just watching the sky roll by.

She saw how his face lit up once he realized her presence approaching him and hoisted his bag to come meet with Ayu.

        She stammered, "Sasuke. Hey."

Then, after greeting him, the flashback of their kiss instantly made her nervous and bashful when looking at him. "A-Are you waiting for someone?"

The raven boy was hesitant at first, but he answered, "Er, yeah..."

"Naruto, perhaps? I just walked past him with Lee. He should be here any minute now." But Ayu wasn't so keen about situations like this, because now she was just so plain oblivious.

"No, actually," Sasuke mumbled with his hand rubbing the back of his neck shyly, "I was waiting for you."

He uttered a low groan as Ayu caught his face looking pink and embarrassed, as if he was ashamed by his action because of his edgy character.

Now Sasuke wasn't the type to be kind and gentle towards everyone. But with people he likes which are rare, he would make anything sweet even sweeter.

Ayu was undeniably flattered, but her blank expression was too absorbed in the moment to react appropriately. Instead, Sasuke saw the redness on her face only grew redder. So then, a small smile touched his lips while turning to the school.

"Let's go," he suggested kindly with his head motioning to the building.

Ayu was compelled to follow him with a hidden grin she was trying to hide behind her wrist, walking side by side with the Uchiha to their dreadful classroom.

When sitting in their assigned seats, thankfully no one yet haven't bothered them. Sitting casually in their seats while class was in session, there was an obvious connection between the two. When Ayu side-glanced at Sasuke, her eyes darted back once he trailed his stare over to her.

He looked away and she looked back. She looked away and he looked back. This continued on until they both accidentally met eyes with each other, and then averted back to being flustered.

But onyx eyes aimed towards at the brunette one last time, taking a sneaky glance at the girl who's already burning red under her hair. Sasuke was too pleased at her reaction and hid his blushing face in his arm while pretending to write in his notebook.

Class was over, transitioning to lunch time rush. The confidence that Sasuke built was starting to get to his ego. Ayu was already patting down her stack of notes into one pile and shoving it into her messenger bag.

With much bravery and excitement, the Uchiha approached the frantic girl by putting his hand on her desk, halfway leaning. "Wanna get lunch?"

"I uh, uh, uh..." she stammered. He gave a heavy pat on her head to snap her back into reality.

"You're so tense. If you don't want to get food with me, then just say 'no'. It's not going to hurt my feelings, you ba-ba," he simply told her.
