Ayu couldn't keep track how many times she sensed the Uchiha boy peering over her shoulders to glance down at the paper she was writing on. With an impatient face, Sasuke asked for the billionth time after a half an hour has passed.

"You've been on that for almost an hour now."

She was starting to lose her patience. "Sasuke, I can't work as fast as you. This isn't a race!"

The first week already, and Ayu was about to come to her melting point by the raven's intentional torment. A week full of nonstop studying and researching that it nearly burned her. She never expected him to be such a perfectionist with his work. He's like a robot.

"Here. How does this look?" She lent him the paper filled little diagrams and drawings as Sasuke made a quick scan through it. His face didn't show any amazement while he was examining it but he handed it back.

"It's sloppy. Can you get any neater?" That was an irrational comment.

"Is it good or not?! I'm not asking for your critique!"

He answered lowly. "You're good to go."

        Yes...

A relieved sigh broke out from her as her shoulders dropped instantly the second Sasuke decided to let her go. This is one of the few days he actually went easy on her.

After cleaning up the room since Mikoto loves to nag his son about cleaning after himself, it was time for the brunette to take her leave as she wondered down the stairs and slipped on her shoes. Onyx eyes watched her carefully when she bid her pleasant goodbye at him and yelling one for his mom.

"I'll see you later, Sasuke," she waved happily. With rolled eyes, he didn't dare to return the favor.

"Just be safe out there," he replied.

Ayu smiled widely before leaving out the door with her schoolbag. Once he heard the door shut behind her, a brisk comfort washed through his body after hours of laboring for this group project. Just when he was about to climb up the stairs to his room, he couldn't help but wonder back at the door where the bubbly girl walked out of.

What Sasuke have calculated, it's almost been a month since Satoshi's vanishment and 'til this day, no one heard from him since then. Whatever the reason is, it could be an accidental one.

He's aware that the thought can't reach her but... I wonder how she's holding up.

Walking into his room, he found the remains of his lose papers that Ayu left him to do for homework. A single glance at his miniature table, his face shown disapproval by taking one sheet off the desk. He scowled lowly to himself.

        "That stupid ba-ba."

She forgot to write down the resources.

*~*

The moment when the brunette arrived at her house, her legs immediately carried her up to her room as if she was hypnotized. An expressionless face appeared on her face once she reached her room and stood behind her door in alleviation, dropping her schoolbag on the floor then meander to her untidy bed.

Ayu drooped her eyes sadly as she tangled herself in her cotton comforter and hugged her body pillow. Even the background, the low sound of Satoshi's CD he given her at the airport played gently with her emotions. She frowned deeply when the sudden thought of the jaded eyed boy and his smile in her head, leaving a gigantic void in her.
