I've lost some parts of me along the way before I come to realize that it's you.

So here I am with only what's left of me, not entirely me. Just the gory, tiny bits of many halves of the halves of me.

*~*

He couldn't stop glowering at her with his narrowed eyes, hissing to himself quietly and partially sneering at the bundle of chocolate brown head throwing her face down on the table. That was the fifth time already in the middle of his study session and he was getting annoyed at his classmate's disruptive demeanor. He must do something about it.

"Will you get over it, Ayu?" Sasuke spatted angrily.

Worried brown eyes stared at him as she sat up again and muffled her scream in her hands while cuffing her mouth. An obvious blush colored her cheeks in shame.

"What on earth was I thinking?" She whined. "I'm freaking out! How is he going to respond?!"

Sasuke sighed for the umpteenth time by watching her question herself all day in class and listening to her episode about slipping a note into his best friend's shoe locker. It wasn't just any note for that matter; it was a love note.

Ayu palmed her forehead after the raven gave a waking slap on her head and cried, "What was that for?!"

"The more you do that, the uglier you will get," he simply stated with no expression. "Relax, you got it over with. Stop regretting it. You're the one who wanted Satoshi to know about your feelings."

She only huffed her cheeks at him. "Someday, Sasuke, you will have a hard time telling someone how you feel once you like them."

The Uchiha only rolled his eyes as he looked away from her with his chin resting over his palm.

"I doubt it. I swear you're like an open book, it makes me want to ignite a flame to your hair."

If there's ever a girl who drives him over the cliff on a daily basis, then it would be this girl; Ayu Tsuname - his classmate and his acquaintance.

In this case, you would think that they're friends but they're not, not even close, just someone who hangs out with his group of friends and most particularly Satoshi Miyubara, Sasuke's childhood best friend and Ayu's crush.

Ever since he was placed a seat right next to her this year, it was an endless show. During those days, he found her personality to be annoyingly bubbly, collected at times but lazy and barbaric. She was just a normal girl to him.

He doesn't know exactly when Ayu started to have feelings for Satoshi, but it was obvious to everyone; all except the clueless boy. A genuine, sweet guy like him can make any girl head over heels. It was so clear that it brought the idea of finally confessing before anyone else can take him which led to this demise.

"Sasu-nii!" a clingy voice erupted in the air.

Sasuke was just following his friends after class, but a hand grabbed a hold of his broad shoulder and pulled him back for a private discussion. Greeted with urgent, emerald eyes with a mop of copper hair, it was Satoshi. However, he looked somewhat strange.

He was beating red and his stance looked sluggish. He would normally look presentable and calm but this time, he looked as if he gotten out of bed.

"So you finally got it," that was the first thing that Sasuke said and it made the brunette's jaw dropped.

"You knew?!" he exclaimed while he held up a folded, college-ruled paper pinched between his two fingers, waving it in front of his face. Sasuke can make out the name on one side of it and it read Ayu's name. "Y-You knew all along and you didn't tell me?!

"If I did, you would react the same way," he told him honestly. "Don't feel bad. You were just too stupid to notice."

"Thanks, dude, for making me feel less irresponsible," sarcastically speaking, Satoshi slumped his shoulders and then grabbed a hold of his face with two of his hands over his face. "What should I say? Ayu and I are so close, but I never thought of her liking me that way."

At this point, Sasuke couldn't help but to feel like the wingman in this situation. It was funny that Satoshi just looked like Ayu a while ago when she was stressing about her love note to him.

"So you're rejecting her?" Green eyes froze at his suggestion, and shook his head rapidly. "Then you do like her."

"I-I don't know how I feel," he conceded with shutting eyes. "It's so sudden that it made my heart stop pumping blood and everything just went up to my face. I feel flustered all the time whenever I think about her and the letter. It's like I'm seeing someone naked and I can't erase their image."

What a comparison.

Despite his last words, it was clear to Sasuke how his best friend feels. Even he sees it sometimes that Satoshi speaks highly of Ayu, and treats her like a special somebody to him - better than anyone else. His feelings were crystal clear that it was almost embarrassing.

"Satoshi, go out with her," the raven ordered, causing the surprised boy to glance at him. "I'm sure it would be fine if you go see her yourself. It's unquestionable about how you feel towards her." With a pouted lip, Sasuke turned his head away bashfully. "I'm no love doctor, so just do what you need to do."

Satoshi stared wondrously, thinking rationally as a more understanding expression filled his face. His eyes softened gently and then smiled.

"I get it now," was all he said until a few other voices went pass them.

The two teenagers noticed the girl groupie; Sakura, Ino, Hinata, Tenten, and Tenmari. For an odd reason, the blond knuckle head is with them too. But a certain head with rosy brown hair captured Satoshi's eyes and it made his heart leap to the heavens.

Facing back to Sasuke, he waved. "Thanks, Sasuke. You have no idea how much this changed."

Saluting him with two fingers, Satoshi made his way over to the gang as their eyes transfixed to him. With Ayu being utterly stunned by his appearance, the girls made a few giggles and left the two their privacy with Naruto just following them, bewildered and curious.

As Sasuke watched from the distant, eying his best friend talk casually with the other brunette who blushed like a maniac, he felt a sixth sense coming to him - that this is the start of the endless butterfly effect.

All because of one love note and his choice to encourage Satoshi.
