Ayu was never the person to let out her feelings, not like how she did on that day. Never the person to cry, or let others know that she was sad. But in front of Sasuke, she can't hide herself, because he will know no matter what the case will be. He will see past her.

Sasuke still couldn't get over it - how she looked incredibly and emotionally affected by her break up. It was like a link, a chain reaction, because he's starting to feel her pain too - of what's like to reach for someone who is so far away.

His thoughts stopped once a hand slapped at the back of his head, causing him to lean forward and glare at the culprit who would even dare to do that to him.

"Oi! Are you listening, teme?!" Naruto shouted in his ear.

He was sitting beside him in the backseat of the car, along with Shikamaru, as Kiba drove with Suigetsu in the passenger seat. The raven only rose a brow at him.

"That means you too, Sasuke!" the blonde continued by pointing a dangerous finger at his face. "You better try and make this day the best for Ayu-chan, so no more bickering between you two!"

Then he remembered. Everyone planned this day specifically for her. Ever since everybody knew about her and Satoshi, people were aware of her sadness and lack of presence during lunch and after school. They considered to cheer her up.

Pouting, Sasuke didn't mind him ordering him around because he was already doing just that. So he placed his chin in his hand and stared out the window. "I know, you idiot."

By the time they reached the bay side, everyone beamed by the view of sparkling, blue water and the shore. Once they parked at a lot, the guys were already howling out of the car while Shikamaru was the only one unloading. Then a couple of voices were heard from a far as Sasuke perked his ears up and saw the rest of their friends in a different car.

At last, he sees the particular brown haired girl sitting in the backseat, looking as unsure and daze as ever. She's always looked like that ever since, like her mind is not in reality.

"Ayu! Get your cute butt out of there!" Sakura yanked her arm. "You should be flaunting it to a couple of hot guys playing beach volleyball!"

The brunette only groaned at her words and then suddenly Tenten dragged her out of the vehicle by force. The sun blinded her as well as the bed of sand toasting under her feet.

Ayu watched her friends peel off their shirts, showing off their skimpy bikinis underneath despite of Hinata's lavender one-piece. But the brown headed girl didn't have the nerve to strip out of her clothes in public, knowing that she was already wearing her high waisted bottoms in replace of her shorts.

"Ah!" Ayu felt her jacket being pulled over her head as a couple of giggles were followed afterwards, revealing her loop front bandeu. Gasping, she instinctively wrapped herself as the cool breeze ran pass her body. "Guys!"

"Nice," a voice said behind her. Ayu turned and saw Kiba smirking at her and the other girls when his small eyes found them. Her cheeks burned red in embarrassment, leering at him.

"You perv!" she earned a creepy laugh from him along with Naruto who approached with a beach towel.

"Who said we were looking?" the blonde chuckled but Sasuke was giving a menacing glare at him as he sensed the Uchiha's intimidating aura through his eyes.

The pony-haired teen fanned himself, wearing a straw hat and an unbutton Hawaiian shirt exposing his scrawny torso. Shikamaru whined, "This heat... I'm gunna die."
