"WHAAAAAT?!" They both exclaimed. The distraught faces from Naruto and Sakura startled the brunette by their pitched voices - almost making a scene in middle of class.

With an utter sigh, Ayu's expression didn't make a emotion by her brief explanation. "Yeah, that's what happened." She doesn't seem affected by it, or that's what she wants them to think.

"W-Wait a second! But you guys dated since the beginning of fall!" Naruto mentioned, which it didn't help the situation any better.

"Do you know why?" the pinkette questioned but Ayu just shook her head slowly in reply. It brought her in bewilderment because of her demeanor. "How can you be so calm about it, Ayu? You guys were in love, right?"

There was a sudden hesitance from her which Ayu heaved a breath in her chest and kept a solid look at her friend's jaded eyes. "We were."

Her facade didn't last, instead her gaze fell down to her lap with conflicting eyes. The two could see it from her image that she was confused as they were.

"What happened?" But Sakura's interrogation stopped when she felt the blonde's tan hand gripped a secure hold on her shoulder. Whipping a glance at him, she saw the unsure emotion in his blue eyes.

Far from Ayu's ears, Naruto gave the pink headed girl a certain look and whispered to her face quietly, "Give her some space."

She was stammered but obeyed to the blonde and hurried out of the brunette's bubble, even though they can feel the unsettle aura emitting from her body. In that moment, they realized they pushed their questionings too far.

As Naruto hurried, he spot the Uchiha motionlessly sitting in his chair with a blank expression, absent from the world. Being the loudmouth he is, he provoked him. "Did you know, Sasuke? Satoshi and Ayu are-"

"No," he answered firmly. "I didn't know."

"I guess Satoshi didn't tell you anything about it," Naruto shrugged. After his small indication, it brought the raven in a jumbled mess - that all possible predicaments appeared in his mind.

Was it because Satoshi knew he likes Ayu? That he doesn't trust him being around her?

Sasuke only grew blue and guilty as he began to overthink the possibility of their breakup, mostly blaming himself for it. The evil inside of him kind of felt relieved that they did, appointing to Ayu's availability but the timing and situation didn't side with him - not when he semi-ruined his friendship with Satoshi.

Side glancing beside him, he saw that Ayu continued to stare out of her window with a elbow propped against her desk. He can't manage to steal a peek of her face, but he knowingly assumed that she isn't appeased; bothered and lonely by the looks of her body language.

She stayed that way the rest of class, and moved slowly when the final bell rang throughout campus. Ayu gathered her stuff carefully while Sasuke spit the nerve to move beside her.

"Hey," he surprised her with a croaked voice.

This is the first time they've talked for a while, and it completed him to finally peep a word to her. Looking at his eyes, there was no telling what he's thinking right now.

The raven headed boy averted his gaze at the ground as he can feel her awaiting eyes on him, dumbstruck. Twitching his lips, Sasuke muttered shyly, "I hope you're okay, you know."
