Arthit blinked his eyes open, startling from another nightmare. He was back on his normal medication schedule and that meant that his nightly medication usually put him in a deep sleep, but sleeping deeper only seemed to prolong how long he was kept in his nightmares for. When he'd just got dumped by Kongpob his nightmares were continuous until they weren't. He'd forgotte4n just how much of a toll the nightmares could be and now he was starting to be afraid of taking his medication because he didn't want to sleep. Especially now, when he would wake up alone.
His new bedroom was dim thanks to the curtains blocking out the sun and the space next to him was empty. It was after 9 in the morning which meant Kong had been long gone. The Monday after moving into the Suthiluck house, Kongpob was assigned to an office where the other employees Arthit had managed were working. Arthit was happy for Kong, since it meant that he could somewhat gain some normalcy but at the same time, Arthit hated waking up alone.
A soft knock came to the door. Arthit pulled himself into a sitting position.
"Arthit are you awake?" Kaiya asked gently.
"C-come in m-mae," Arthit called to her.
Kaiya entered and her presence immediately made Arthit feel warm. She opened the curtains to let in the light.
"Your physical therapist will be here in an hour. Do you want to shower before or after therapy?" she asked.
"A-after," Arthit said. the physical therapy was essentially a workout for him and he would sweat as he tried to stand and walk.
"Alright. Do you mind if I shower you? Or should I hire a nurse for when Kongpob is working?"
Arthit shook his head. "I'd r-rather y-you s-shower me t-than a s-st-stranger." Arthit sighed and looked out the window. "I w-wish K-Kongpob h-had w-w-woken me up e-earlier. I w-want to s-see h-him. A-and I d-didn't g-get to k-kiss h-him b-before he l-left."
"He told me he would face time you on his lunch break. Make sure to tell him that you want him to wake you up when he wakes up. At least if its still early, you can take a nap again before your therapies start for the morning."
Kaiya went over to the bed and Arthit moved she sheets so he could swing his legs over the bed. They'd gotten a wheelchair or Arthit and made sure the bathroom in the quarters where Arthit and Kongpob now lived inside the house was accessible for Arthit's needs. Kaiya and Kerrkalai had truly thought of everything.
Kaiya helped him to stand and it took him a moment to secure his wobbly legs and then she was helping him to the bathroom so he could freshen up for the day. By the time he was finished and settled in the wheelchair, he saw a blinking notification on his phone. He put the phone on his lap and tapped at the screen and opened a message from Kongpob.
My Moon: Good morning P. Sorry I didn't wake you before I left but it was so early and you looked so peaceful sleeping, I couldn't wake you. I did steal a kiss from your sleepy lips though, even if you didn't feel it lol. It did me good since it gave me the boost to start my day. It's been a little stressful P, I won't lie. Everyone is asking about you and I get that they're concerned but I don't want to tell them all of our business either. Dean is here too. Let's just say he's taking care of me like he forgot that I ended things with him. It's very awkward. I feel weird too. I want to work but then again, I'd rather be home taking care of you. Or maybe I want to work only if you're here too. I'll face time you later P. I want to see you and hear your voice. I really miss you.
Arthit smiled as he read the message but he did feel slightly irritated that Dean was trying to encroach on his territory. Just because he wasn't there, didn't mean that Kongpob wasn't his. Arthit opened the text box and used two fingers to tap so he could text.
