I took a deep breath, exhaling for several seconds.
I felt odd, I was calm. I was unusually calm. My thoughts were clear, and I felt focused. I carefully watched the boss' movements.
It was as if the boss were moving slower. When the boss began its attack, I could see and predict its patterns.
I jumped back diagonally, avoiding a wide swing and the follow-up thrust. I then jumped in and struck the boss with my Rend before jumping back once more, avoiding a wide swing as it moved backward.
It raised its spear launch the volleys of energy blasts. I managed to avoid all but the last several. Strangely, I didn't feel them.
The boss drove its spear forward, but i side stepped before throwing several more hits.
It then once more reared up before diving down at me. I rolled to the side, avoiding the first, then rolled to the foward, avoiding the wide swing. I hit the boss with several more attacks.
Jumping backward, it thrust its spear forward, launching that beam of energy. Rolling to the side and then forward, I avoided the attack.
It now had a sliver of its health left.
