We began to make our way across the barren field toward the tower. Along the winding path we came across groups of Peri Soliders each wielding implements that resembled torture tools rather than weapons for warfare. They held polearms with two prongs, each of the prongs had a bright red glow to them.
As soon as we approached a pair of them charged at Mani. Jumping in I took the attack blocking it. I felt a burning sensation across my forearm and saw a bar appear in the corner of my HUD denoting burn status build up.
I cast Expulse with my free hand I forcing the attackers back, then followed up with Psionic Blast to draw their aggro. Suna then followed my lead and began launching her own attacks.
"Mani you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, thanks," he replied.
Mani's eyes narrowed in determination and began casting some of his offensive artes.
After a minute both enemies fell to the ground before disappearing in a burst of light.
After defeating those we continued on. As we got closer to the tower more enemies appeared. Of the enemies one was odd. It was a hulking beast with a humanoid figure.
It wore ragged clothing with a large hood covering its face. Around its limbs were chains that restricted its movement. Around its neck was a collar, and Around its ankles were ball weights. On its back were a pair of torn wings that resembled a wasp. Lastly in its hand crudely attached to the chains was a large cleaver.
Its name read 'Interned Pixie Tormentor.'
It was odd as it paced the area for a bit before taking the cleaver and struck the bodies of some deceased enemies multiple times before returning to it path. As we moved around it trying not to draw its aggro, it spotted another enemy, called 'Emanciated Colt Prisoner." Instantly it turned on the enemy and began to butcher it.
My eyes went wide from the scene, while Mani stared in disbelief, and Suna looked away.
I wanted to avoid fighting that thing.
