He seemed worried, shifting uncomfortably under my gaze.

I studied him for a moment then looked away.

I had woke up when he was saying something like he'll be there in an hour or so.

What suddenly came up so important that he needs to go in the middle of the night?

I leaned back on the seat again, and couldn't help but steal another glance at him.

His all focus is on the road, driving as fast as he can under the traffic rules. Besides, the road is clear too.

We might reach Seoul before an hour.

I bite my lower lip as I thought for a moment.

I'm pretty sure it's something related to Hybe. Otherwise he wouldn't be so anxious.

He said he will tell me later.

But why not now? I'm sitting right beside him, no?

I sighed.

My mind slowly drifted back to earlier when we were in the convenience store.

I smiled a little as I realized, I had hugged him for the first time.

It felt as if at that moment, all my worries melted away.

Just his presence, his warm embrace around me, it's much more than I could ever want....

and deserve.

I stole another glance at him.

My mind went back and forth between our earlier interaction and his current worry.

I decided to stop getting happy over that we hugged, what he said, and think about it later.

Jimin looked at me after pulling the car over our apartment building, not even parking it.

-"I need to finish some work."

He spoke to me with an apologetic smile, but I knew more than that.

The hidden anxiety behind his eyes.

I nodded and got out of the car.

-"When will you be back?"

I didn't know why I asked, but I felt like it, so I did.

He looked a bit surprised.

-"Uh...not sure...it might get late."

His secretive demeanor made me realize something was really wrong.

Is it anything about the members? Is everyone okay?

-"Oh...take care, then."

I straightened up slightly, and waited for him to drive off.

A minute passed.

And we both were still on our tracks.

He didn't drive off, and I didn't walk inside.

He looked out the window, at me.

-"Why don't you go inside?"

I blinked, suddenly realizing.

-"O-oh...uh...I was...just...waiting for you...to drive off..."

I mumbled quietly while shifting a little.
