-"Ma'am, please. You can't go in like this."

All of our attention shifted to the door when we heard the staff.

My eyes widened slightly as my eyes met her anxious gaze.

What is she doing here?

-"What's going on? Miss, you can't come in like this. We're in the middle of a confidential meeting."

-"I don't understand what the security guards are for. Damn it. They can't even keep the fans outside the office."

The producer and the manager became more irritated to get interrupted by her.

The other members were surprised.

While we both shared a glance with unspoken emotions, and unanswered questions.

-"Wait...she's...my friend..."

I got up from my chair, stopping them from making a bigger fuss about it.

She took a few steps inside when I walked towards her.

I could clearly see the worry in her gaze.

-"What do you mean your friend? Why is she here, interrupting our meeting?"

I was about to speak but she cut me off before I could even start.

-"I was with him last night. And if he's dealing with the consequences, I should equally take the responsibilities."

Everyone listened to her with a hint of surprise.

I pulled her aside by her arm and spoke in a lower voice

-"What are you saying? This is not where you should get involved. Go home."

Her eyebrows furrowed as she looked at me.

-"The moment that photo was clicked, I got involved into this. And I'm not going anywhere before everything gets back to it's place."

I didn't know how to react to her words. Looking at her with slight frustration, I spoke, trying to keep my voice as low as possible...

-"This is not how things work, Nandini. Please, listen to me. Go back home."

-"This is exactly how it works. Did you look at yourself!?"

She glared at me, which caught me off guard.

-"You're tired. You didn't eat anything from last night. And you think you can handle all of it alone? Why? Wasn't I there with you when the picture was clicked? Then why should you take all the responsibilities alone?"

I opened my mouth to speak, but all of a sudden, no words came out.

Uh...

I haven't seen her getting angry...that's why.

-"Keep your useless mouth shut and let me handle it."
