Season 4 Ep 10

Elena is walking down the hallway and stops when she hears someone crying. She turns around the corner and finds April. "April, what's wrong?" Elena asks. "Nothing. I'm fine." April says. "But you're crying?" Elena asks. "It's just the whole mayor thing, you know. It's bringing stuff up about my dad." April says. Elena nods. "And I know you're a vampire." April says. Elena looks shocked. "Wait, what?" Elena says. Rebekah comes out of nowhere and snaps Elena's neck. "Was that necessary?" April says. "No, but it was fun." Rebekah says. "Very fun." Artemis says from beside Rebekah. Rebekah smiles.

Elena has awakened and is leaning against a bookshelf in the library. She looks around and then gets up. April walks in. "The assembly is over." April says. "What the hell is going on?" Elena asks. "The school will be empty soon...How many times did you compel me?" April asks. Elena looks at her. "Don't...don't lie. Rebekah says you lie." April says. "Rebekah isn't who you think she is, April." Elena says. "What? She's not a thousand-year-old Original vampire?" April asks. "Listen, we can figure this out, but we have to get out of here." Elena says. Elena pulls April with her, they turn a corner and Rebekah and Artemis are standing there. "Sorry, not allowed." Rebekah says. Rebekah walks up to Elena and compels her. "Why don't you take a seat." Rebekah says. "The rest of the class will be here shortly." Artemis says.

Caroline is walking down the hallway with the white oak stake in her hand. She looks in a classroom for Rebekah. She texts Stefan, "2nd floor clear..." She hears a noise and turns around. Stefan is walking along another hallway and gets her text. He looks in another classroom. He hears a noise, looks towards the end of the hallway, and then texts Caroline, '1st floor. I'll distract her. You stake her.' But is interrupted when Rebekah shows up. "Hello, Stefan." Rebekah says. He puts his phone in his pocket. "I'm here. What do you want?" Stefan asks. "The same thing I wanted when you helped Niklaus dagger me." Rebekah says. "The cure." Stefan says. Rebekah pushes him against the lockers, Stefan grabs her and pushes her against the lockers. "I hope you're not waiting for Caroline to show up and stake me..." Rebekah says. She shows him the stake. "...because Artemis already found her." Rebekah says.

A few moments later, Rebekah walks into the library with Stefan. "Stefan..." Elena says. Elena gets up. "Did I say you could move?" Rebekah asks. Elena sits back down. "Class is in session. You've all been compelled, you know the rules. Answer my questions honestly, no disobedience, no one leaves. April, my sweet, take notes. This is how you get answers in this town. Let's start with a little quiz. In the year 1114, my brother learnt, thanks to yours truly, about a brotherhood of vampire hunters with tattoos that grew with each kill. These tattoos revealed what, Elena?" Rebekah asks. "A map." Elena says. "Which led to...? Caroline?" Rebekah asks. "A cure for vampirism." Caroline says. "Perfect, so we're all caught up." Artemis says. "Stefan Salvatore, the last time we saw each other, you had a vampire hunter, but in order to decode the map, you needed the location of the hunter's sword, which you got out of me using some very dirty tricks. Assuming you found the sword, you also found the cure, and yet, you're all still vampires, which means something went wrong." Rebekah says. Rebekah looks at April. "What are you doing?" Rebekah asks. "Oh, you asked me to take notes." April says. "I wasn't being literal, darling. But now that you mention it...a flow chart would be nice, which means index cards and pushpins. Go, fetch." Rebekah says. April leaves the room. "You're wasting your time. We don't know anything." Stefan says. "Well, that's a lie." Artemis says. "So, you just gave up? I thought you would do anything to save Elena? Even if it meant taking the cure yourself, so you could grow old and die with her?" Rebekah says. Elena looks at Stefan with a shocked look on her face. "Why do you look so surprised?" Rebekah asks. No one answers. "I'm missing something. What is it?" Rebekah says. "They broke up, okay?" Caroline says. Rebekah smiles. "Now let us go." Caroline says. "Broke up? Wait, I'm confused. I thought Elena was your epic love, Stefan?" Rebekah asks. Rebekah sits down in April's chair and she looks at Stefan. "I asked you what happened. You have to tell me." Rebekah says. "She slept with Damon." Stefan says. Elena looks at Stefan, surprised, and then she looks at Caroline, who looks remorseful.
