Alexandra Williams made her way to the group. The hallway was quiet as she made her way down, the soft hum of distant conversation from the lodge's common areas filling the air. With each step, she pushed aside the thoughts of Harry's glare and Arthur's touch. Tonight was just dinner. That's all it had to be.

As she turned the corner, the low chatter of her friends came into view. George, Chris, Charlie, and Arthur were gathered near the lobby fireplace, their laughter echoing through the rustic space. But it was Harry, standing slightly apart from the group, who caught her eye. He was leaning against the wall, hands tucked into his jacket pockets, his gaze flicking to her the moment she entered. Lex felt her stomach twist, but she lifted her chin, refusing to let the moment shake her.

"Hey," she greeted, her voice even.

Arthur smiled easily, though there was a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes. Harry, however, said nothing. He simply stared, the tension in his jaw impossible to miss. But Lex didn't falter. She wasn't going to let him get under her skin — not tonight.

"Shall we?" George asked, his usual grin breaking the silence.

Lex nodded, falling in step with the group. But even as they moved toward the dining room, she couldn't shake the feeling of Harry's eyes still burning into her.

The group settled into their seats, the air thick with the chatter of other guests and the distant hum of music. Charlie and Chris slid into the chair next to Harry, who said little as he picked at the edge of the menu. Across from them, Lex took her spot beside George, Arthur sat down next to him.

Arthur laughed, leaning back in his chair, but Lex could feel the weight of Harry's gaze without even needing to look. He sat directly across from Arthur, his expression unreadable, though the tension in his shoulders was hard to miss. It was as though every interaction, every glance, was layered with something was going on.

"Lex, what are you thinking? Pasta or steak?" George asked, nudging her playfully.

Lex blinked, pulling herself from her thoughts. "Pasta, I think. The steak is way to expensive."

"Fair," Arthur chuckled, flashing her a grin. "I'll probably regret whatever I get, anyway."

Lex laughed softly, but the sound felt too loud against the undercurrent of tension. She finally dared to glance at Harry. His jaw was tight, the tips of his fingers tapping against his beer. The others might not have noticed, but Lex knew him too well. Every small movement was a giveaway. He was stewing.
