I opened my eyes and saw Ava with her hands still on the desk; she was getting pale, and starting to sway back and forth. I knew something was wrong I went to Ava’s side and poked her gently on the face, nothing happened.
“Ava are you okay?” I asked her but I knew that was a stupid thing to say.
Ava’s swaying got worse and suddenly she started to fall, I caught her just in time and dragged her out of the room. It was by my guess the further away she got from the room the better, I positioned her better so that I was carrying her instead of dragging her, Ava’s head was leaning against my shoulder and drooling, I chuckled at that. I carried her to the trap door and using my head to push it open I placed Ava on her bed. Her eyes were moving around like she was trying to wake up but couldn’t, and her hair was a mess. This must have been a powerful vision, if there was one thing I was grateful for I was glad that I didn’t get visions. There were the rare occasions when I did get them from a person’s emotion being so strong, there was this one time when I felt a guys anger and it was so strong that it caused me to have a vision about him beating up his wife. I gave the guy a good punch but because of the vision I got a migraine for a week, and let me tell you after that I started to hate them, they are a pain in the arse at times. Ava still wasn’t waking up. I started to get worried.
“Ava?” I said.
“Hello earth to Ava”
I grabbed her hand and suddenly a binding pain and a flash of light behind my eyes the blackness took me.

The moon shone through the window of the Headmistress’s office, she was looking at her laptop, she was shocked she just made a discovery. Yet deep down she always knew...
Crrrreeeeekkkkk
The Headmistress turned her head, her heart started to pound. The sound of footsteps could be heard making their way to her door, a shadow appeared at her door. Sweat started to form on the Headmistress’s head, they were coming!
She started to get up from her desk when the door opened; she saw a figure standing there with a gun pointing at her. She couldn’t make out the man’s features but she knew a gun when she saw it.
“Please,” The Headmistress begged. “I won’t tell anyone”
“To late for that girl,” The man snarled.
And with that he pulled the trigger...

I woke up and felt my head pounding; I was lying on the floor beside Ava’s bed and still holding her hand. I saw Ava open her eyes and she looked down at me, a frown came upon her face.
“Why are you holding my...”
But she stopped when a binding pain shot through me; I looked at Ava and knew she was feeling the same thing, my body was on fire. It felt like a rope was tightening itself forming a knot. The pain rose and the knot tightened. I cried out in pain, I was sure Ava did the same but I didn’t know. And just like that the pain stopped, I lay on the floor in a cold sweat not able to move.
“What...was...that?” Ava gasped.
“How...should...I know,” I replied.
I got up a bit my legs shaking but a short walk to my desk stopped that.
“The vision I saw...” Ava began but I interrupted her.
“I know I saw it too”
“You did?”
I nodded, “I grabbed your hand, and that’s when I saw your vision” I quickly added, “You weren’t waking up so I got worried”
I felt my face getting hot, I was blushing! Now that’s embarrassing!
An awkward silence followed so to break it I said, “You drool”
Ava laughed, I smiled that worked.
“Sorry about that, did I faint?” She asked smiling.
“Yeah you did I had to carry you all the way to the room, and you left a spot of drool on my jacket”
Another laugh came out from her.
“The vision,” I said. “That’s what happened to the Headmistress but what I want to know is why? What did she find out? Why did they have to kill her? And most importantly what did she know?”
Ava nodded she had a thoughtful expression on her face. “What do we do now?”
“Wait,” I said. “Something will happen but when I don’t know, maybe we could see what really happened. Again I’m not so sure after you fainted”
I raised an eyebrow.
“It wasn’t my fault,” She mumbled.
“I never said it was,” I replied gently. “Did you feel the pain?”
Ava nodded.
“What was that all about?”
“I don’t know but time will tell,” She said smiling. “I don’t want to go through that again”
“But,” Ava continued. “I cannot sit around and wait for something to happen, it doesn’t feel right”
“I guess we wait then,” I thought for a moment. “Hey Ava”
She looked at me, “Yeah?”
“Wanna steel some ice cream from the freezer?”
We both smiled and ran out into the hall, whoever was going to run this place I didn’t know. But whenever I thought about it a bad feeling came to me, the danger was just beginning.
