Guys is anyone into this anime anymore? Is anyone Interested in my writing 😭

The world was quieter at night.

No cars, no shouting, no rush. Just the hum of the wind, the distant crash of waves, and the steady sound of wheels against pavement.

Reki stretched his arms above his head, letting out a long yawn. "Dude, remind me why we're out here at—" He pulled out his phone, blinking at the screen. "—one in the freaking morning?"

Langa, who had been adjusting his grip on his board, simply said, "Felt like skating."

Reki let out a snort. "Of course you did."

Langa gave him a small smile before pushing off, rolling ahead down the empty street. "Come on."

Reki groaned but followed, the familiar motion of skating waking him up a little more. "If I fall asleep on my board, it's your fault."

Langa hummed, tilting his head slightly. "I'll catch you."

Reki scoffed, but his face felt warmer than it should in the cool night air.

They skated side by side, the silence between them easy and comfortable. The city lights stretched out before them, flickering like stars against the dark skyline. It was different from their usual S runs—no tricks, no races, no pressure. Just them.

Eventually, they reached a small hill that overlooked the city, and Reki flopped onto the pavement with a sigh. "Alright, break time."

Langa sat beside him, pulling his knees up to his chest. "It's nice out."

Reki leaned back on his hands, staring up at the sky. "Yeah. Way better than sweating in the sun."

Langa nodded, quiet for a moment before turning his gaze toward Reki. "I like skating with you the most."

Reki blinked, caught off guard. "Huh?"

Langa's expression stayed neutral, but his fingers drummed lightly against his knee. "Skating's fun, no matter what. But it's different with you."

Reki swallowed, suddenly hyper-aware of how close they were. "...Different how?"

Langa hesitated, then admitted, "Better."

Reki's stomach did something weird. "Oh." He let out a nervous laugh, scratching the back of his neck. "You're so damn blunt, dude."

Langa tilted his head. "Is that bad?"

"No, no." Reki shook his head quickly, feeling his face heat up again. "It's just... I dunno, you say stuff like that so casually, and it messes with my brain."

Langa blinked at him, then said, just as casually, "I like you."

Reki's breath hitched. "Wha—"

"As more than a friend," Langa added, his voice calm, but his fingers gripping his jeans just a little tighter.

Reki stared at him, his heart going crazy in his chest. "You—what—why—" He cut himself off, inhaling sharply before groaning. "Dude, I can't believe you just dropped that on me."

Langa frowned. "Should I have waited?"

Reki groaned again, burying his face in his hands. "No, that's not—ugh, Langa."

Langa nudged his shoulder gently. "You're overthinking."

Reki exhaled, lowering his hands. "I mean... yeah. Kinda. But mostly because—" He paused, staring at his skateboard in front of him before sighing. "I like you too, okay? So this is really unfair."

Langa's lips quirked up. "How is it unfair?"

"Because now my brain is a mess, and I feel like an idiot."

Langa tilted his head again, thoughtful. Then, without hesitation, he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to Reki's cheek.

Reki froze. His brain shut down. The entire world went silent.

Langa pulled back slightly, watching him. "Better?"

Reki opened his mouth, closed it, opened it again. "Did you—did you just—"

Langa hummed. "Yeah."

Reki stared at him before slapping a hand over his own face. "I hate you."

Langa laughed softly. "No, you don't."

Reki peeked at him through his fingers. "...Yeah, okay, maybe not."

Langa was still watching him, a small, amused smile on his lips. Then, in that same casual way that made Reki's stomach flip, he said, "Can I kiss you again?"

Reki's face burned, but somehow, he managed a breathless, "You're seriously unbelievable."

Langa just waited.

And Reki, despite his racing heart and his overheating brain, dropped his hand and muttered, "Fine, but if you make it weird, I'm pushing you down this hill."

Langa took that as permission, leaning in again, this time pressing a soft kiss to Reki's lips.

It was simple. No fireworks, no dramatic music—just warm, steady, and easy, like everything between them had always been.

When they pulled back, Reki let out a shaky laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. "Okay. Yeah. That was... That was good."

Langa smiled, pleased. "Yeah."

Reki sighed, shaking his head before getting to his feet. "Alright, Romeo, let's get home before I pass out on the road."

Langa stood as well, rolling his board forward. "I meant what I said earlier."

Reki raised an eyebrow. "About what?"

Langa nudged their boards together, brushing his hand against Reki's. "You're my favorite person to skate with."

Reki stared at him for a second before snorting. "Dude, you're so unfair."

Langa tilted his head. "Why?"

Reki just groaned, grabbed Langa's wrist, and pulled him along as they skated back toward home—his heart still racing, but his smile never fading.
