I studied the stars and found silence,
gone through charts and ancient resilience.
Now learned how planets curve through space,
yet could not fathom the beginning of its race.
I studied the stars and found infinity—
infinity of questions I need for sanity.
For every answer science revealed,
it left a deeper truth—concealed.
For tell me—who made the sky?
Who taught the nothingness to rise?
What ordained the vast of affinities?
The silent laws, the symmetries?
Ye boast as though we forged things thou shown,
as though the earth marched on alone;
Yet none of us wrought this creation,
nor share such glorious salvation.
Ye create mutations, mapped intelligence,
explained matters' importance;
Yet no equation fully shows,
why mercy blooms, and conscience rose.
I studied the stars and found silence,
since when did Thy gift become defiance?
Yet in the hush between the wise,
questions led my gaze beyond the skies.
