We built walls with clouds,
cover with blankets to keep enshrouds.
Playing our laughter as the lullaby,
so dreams will stay, and embrace the alibi.
My young hands unburdened,
spreaded to fly with clumsiness and,
mold a paper plane to storm in sky,
to soar the waves of goodbyes.
But you cut the ties to go with doubts,
you pointed the crease I made -- never flouts.
To kneel, to beg is meant for me to show;
imperfections were part of the growth.
The walls were now unclouded,
the dreams were shrouded,
the sighs of grief are now playing,
and the alibis are now swaying.
The storm in skies are now in you;
the waves of goodbyes are now you;
the cracks are now molded by you;
the paper plane lost its wings with you
The clouds are now gone,
the blankets are lost to the lawn.
The loving gaze skimmed past me, to distant skies,
where ideas she chased, were far from my eyes.
You sheltered a perfect paper plane, so neat,
folded with precision, a creaseless sheet,
never meant to touch the ground.
Oh! What a fragile love, meant to be unbound.
