On the other side, Abhinav stepped into Samar's chamber. The room was quiet, and Samar was still asleep. His bare back was half-covered by the black duvet, his breath calm and deep.
"Ranasa never sleeps for this long," Abhinav muttered, his eyes drifting toward the clock.
Curious, he walked to the drawer and pulled it open. The bottle of sleeping pills was still full-untouched.
"That means... even last night, Ranasa fell asleep without the pills," Abhinav whispered, stunned.
His mind wandered back to that night, to Samar's intoxicated words-words full of pain, desperation, and longing.
"Was he right? Is Dhara really the one who can heal him?" Abhinav wondered, staring at his sleeping king.
He checked the bed carefully, but found nothing unusual. No trace of anything.
"Did nothing happen between them?" Confusion clouded his face.
"But why, then? Why did Ranasa ask me to bring her here?"
His questions only grew.
Without wasting time, he rushed to Dhara.
"What did you do last night?" he asked sharply, his voice filled with suspicion.
His sudden presence made Dhara flinch. Her eyes widened in fear.
"W-what?" she stammered, startled.
"Why wasn't the work done-the reason you were brought here? Did nothing happen between you two? And what about these marks on your body? Didn't he throw you out of his room?" Abhinav's voice was laced with disbelief.
Dhara shook her head slowly, her fear growing.
"What?" Abhinav was shocked.
"He saw them last night... but didn't say anything,"she whispered.
Abhinav pulled Netra aside and said coldly, "Ask this girl if she lost her virginity last night or not."
Netra gave him a confused glance, but did as told. She walked to Dhara and questioned her directly.
But Dhara just stared at her, blankly-confused, hurt, and silent.
"S-sorry... but I... I don't understand what you're saying," she stuttered, her voice trembling.
Netra's face twisted in anger. "Are you really this innocent, or just pretending in front of Ranasa to seduce him?"
Dhara wasn't pretending. She genuinely didn't understand. But as always, her truth was met with scorn. The girl who once went to school, who still had the innocence of a child in her heart, couldn't find the words to explain herself. And now, these cruel words-concubine-kept echoing in her mind like a curse.
Netra turned back to Abhinav, frustration in her eyes.
"I think we're wasting time. She's an idiot. I don't know what Ranasa saw in her. She's completely clueless."
Abhinav, however, wasn't convinced.
"She may be a fool, but her family isn't. I know Basant Singh. He'll definitely try to contact her to take his revenge. That girl might look harmless now, but we can't take chances. We need to watch her closely-every moment. Even if everything looks fine now, something might happen later. We have to stay alert."
Netra nodded. "You're right. But really, this is the girl Ranasa is going crazy over? If Dadamaharaj finds out, he'll crush her in seconds."
Abhinav's tone turned cold. "That's none of your concern. Do the job you've been given. Keep an eye on her. If anything seems off-tell me immediately."
