In Samar's Bedroom
After Samar left Dhara in a state of shock and confusion, she remained seated in the same spot, feeling numb.
She couldn't grasp what had just happened moments ago; her mind was a whirlwind of confusion and shock. The encounter with Samar kept replaying in her mind, each moment etched vividly.
"Why did Hukum ask me to suck his finger? And why did I obediently start doing it without questioning or thinking? And then, suddenly, why did he abruptly leave?" Dhara mused, lost in her thoughts, as the recent incident continued to haunt her.
" But where is he? It's been quite a while, and he hasn't returned. " She asked herself, a mix of worry and confusion in her tone.
Her eyes scanned the dimly lit room, and outside, there was no indication that the relentless rain, accompanied by the deepening darkness of the night, would cease anytime soon.
The night grew darker, matching the turmoil in Dhara's mind.
Clutching the duvet tightly around her naked chest, she stepped out of bed and turned on the light. Making her way to the wardrobe, she opened it with caution.
After a brief scan, she selected a gray loose T-shirt, much like his own gray-shaded nature. Dhara unwrapped the duvet from her petite frame and swiftly pulled on the T-shirt.
Exiting the room, she began walking down the long, dark corridor of the palace. " Hukum, wh-where are you? " She called out with a scared tone, her gaze darting around.
However, he was nowhere to be seen. Lost in the vastness of the massive palace, Dhara felt a sense of fear in those lengthy, dimly lit corridors. The unfamiliar surroundings and the ancient, imposing architecture sent shivers down her spine.
“Ranasa, the—” Reva started to say something, but then a soft, serious voice interrupted them.
“Out.”
It was Dhara’s voice—low, but firm.
Samar immediately turned to Reva and spoke sharply, “Leave. Now.”
Reva's heart sank. She felt hurt, and a flicker of jealousy rose inside her. Even after everything that had just happened, she still didn’t have answers—especially about Dhara. She wanted to know more.
“Hukum...”
Dhara’s voice grew louder as she walked closer toward the room.
Reva purposely stayed where she was. She wanted Dhara to see her with Samar—to cause confusion, to stir things up.
But before she could act on that thought, Samar shot her a deadly glare. His eyes made it clear—if she tried anything stupid, there would be consequences. Serious ones.
He wasn’t just angry. He was dangerous. Like a wild animal.
“Hide. Anywhere. Right now,” he growled between clenched teeth.
Reva quickly moved to a corner, out of sight.
Just then, as Dhara was about to enter the room and call his name, Samar suddenly stepped out to stop her.
As soon as she saw him, Dhara rushed forward and hugged him tightly. Her arms wrapped around his chest like she was trying to find safety there.
“Where did you go all of a sudden? I was so scared,” she whispered, clinging to him even more.
Samar was frozen. He wasn’t used to this. He wasn’t someone who hugged people or showed affection easily. Awkwardly, he kept his hands to himself and closed his eyes.
