A Few moments later

" Dhara, aap yeh baat jaanti nahi, par hum iss duniyaan ke sabse bure insaan hai. Itne bure aur shayad khatarnaak bhi ki aap soch bhi nahi sakti. "

"Dhara, there's something you don’t know," Samar said quietly, his hands gently holding her face. There was a strange mix of coldness and hidden pain in his touch. "I’m not a good man. In fact, I might be the worst person you'll ever meet. Cruel… maybe even dangerous. More than you can imagine."

Dhara's eyebrows drew together in confusion and fear. Her heart pounded so loudly, she could barely hear anything else.

"You’ve seen both sides of me—the part everyone respects and the one everyone fears. You’re the only person who has come close to both. But do you really understand what I’m capable of? Don’t let the good you see in me blind you. You’ve seen my darkness too. So why are you still running after someone like me?"

His voice was low and sharp, each word cutting through the silence. His eyes bore into hers, intense and challenging.

"You already know the answer," Dhara replied softly, her voice barely a whisper.

"And I hate that answer," he snapped, suddenly raising his voice. He pulled her closer with force, almost angrily, as if trying to erase the space between them completely. His frustration poured out of him like a storm he could no longer control.

Dhara’s heart tightened. Something in his tone told her that what he was about to say would hurt more than anything she’d ever heard.

A cold shiver ran down her spine, as if her body already knew the pain that was coming.

"This dream you've built around me—it’s your job to destroy it," Samar said harshly. "I won’t be part of your world, and I won’t allow you to become part of mine either. You’ll end up broken, Dhara. And honestly, it won’t affect me much. Maybe I’ll feel something… but not like you do. I don’t value my heart like you value yours. I don’t deal well with feelings and emotions."

As he gripped her waist tightly, Dhara winced in pain. Her eyes squeezed shut.

But it wasn’t just the pressure of his fingers that hurt.

It was his words. Cold, brutal words that stabbed deeper than anything physical ever could.

Each sentence left her breathless, slowly tearing apart the fragile hope she had held onto.

“H-Hukum, I—” Dhara’s voice trembled, but the words caught in her throat as tears rushed down her face like a flood. She shook her head, unwilling to accept the harsh truth he was throwing at her.

Her mind was in chaos. Everything she had built in her heart—the world she created around him—was now falling apart. That world had given her peace, made her feel safe. But now, he wanted her to destroy it herself.

How could she even think of doing that?

Just moments ago, she had felt like she was flying—wrapped in the warmth of love. And now, she was crashing hard, dragged down by his darkness.

It was a pattern that kept repeating—he lifted her up with small glimpses of affection, only to pull away and remind her that they were never meant to be. Every time she touched a little happiness, he turned it into heartbreak.

Dhara couldn’t tear down the world she had built around him. Just the thought of it hurt too much. Even in her worst nightmares, she never imagined something like this.
