KAI'S POV

She looked strange. Her body was tense and she was avoiding my gaze. She smelled something burning? Bullshit. It was nothing like that. Something was happening. But before I could say anything, she ran away.

"Wait", I shouted. I was about to follow her when Subin grabbed my wrist, stopping me to move.

"We haven't finished talking", she said.

"Actually, I think we talked more than necessary", I replied. Why was Subin still there? Why was she so fucking persistent? I made clear I didn't want anything with her. I told her I didn't like her. I never said we were dating. Why she couldn't understand? We just shared a kiss in the school's parking. That was all. And it was just to make the girl I really liked jealous. But she created her own story in her mind and thought we were together. As if that could happen. I would never be with her. She was the most disgusting girl I'd ever known. She was so selfish and arrogant. But above all, she was the reason that ruined everything. I despised her. I lost two years because of her. But even when she probably knew all that deep inside, she was there standing in front of me anyway.

"But we need to talk...", she began.

"Talk about what? There's nothing to talk about", I replied. I was starting to get annoyed. I just wanted to finish that conversation and go find the girl that ran away from me again.

"We have to talk about us", she replied.

"Us? There's no us", I said. Gosh, she was obsessing with talking.

"Is is because of her?", she asked.

"It's because I don't like you", I replied.

"But you'd be with me if it wasn't for her!", she exclaimed.

"Didn't you hear me? I don't like you. Even if I'm not with her, I will never be with you", I replied.

"What does she have that I don't? Why can't you like me the way you like her?", she sobbed.

"Because you're not her. And there's nothing you could do to make me like you back", I replied calmly. "And please, stop harassing me. Stop calling me every single day. Stop coming to my house and stop telling everyone that you're my girlfriend. Just stop, please", I said. I was hard but she needed to understand once and for all.

"Alright", she said as she wiped away her own tears. When she looked at me again, her eyes were piercing me. "This is not going to finish like this", she hissed, sending daggers to me before she left.

There was something I needed to make first, I'd think about her threat later. I was about to go to my neighbor's house when I heard my phone ringing inside. I sighed annoyed. Now what?

"Hi", I said.

"Hi, dear. Are you having a nice summer?", my mother sounded at the other end of the line.

"I don't know if nice is the right word", I replied tiredly.

"And what were you waiting for to call your mother?", she asked.

YOUR POV

It was hard to breathe again. You threw yourself at the bed and buried your head in the pillow as warm tears began to slide along your face. It was a lie. Jongin was just a liar. She was playing with you, telling that he liked you when she was still with Subin. You quickly stood up as you heard steps near you. Gosh, did you leave the backdoor open again? You weren't able to talk with Jongin like that. But it wasn't Jongin.
