Chapter 2

You spent the night plotting your revenge for Kai. You'd never felt better before. You were strong and always tried that Kai's bullying never affected you. But you weren't that strong inside and all his pranks actually hurt. It hurt because Kai used to be your best friend, the sun of your sky. Watching him as he became in that mean person, unable to do anything really left a mark on you. You blamed yourself many times. Even if he didn't want to be your friend anymore, you could have done something to help him. That's why you never fought back. In the bottom of your heart, he was still your Jongin and you deserved that. But something inside you changed. He was only mean and rude with you and you were tired of that. Why were you his only target? You weren't going to allow that treatment anymore; you needed to fight back. If he had a problem with you, then you'd have to solve it. You thought about all the things that you could do to annoy him. You didn't have much power in the school, you were unpopular and a total loser thanks to Kai, but maybe if you began to spread some rumors about him somebody could believe them. Kai didn't know who he was dealing with.

You woke up happy that morning. Confronting Kai was giving you a new perspective. Why would you let someone to bully you? You'd never been like that. Why then? Because he was your Jongin? Well, fuck Jongin and fuck Kai. You weren't going to cry anymore because of him. You walked into your class tiredly as you sat in your usual spot; your friend Subin just beside you.

"Hey, did you hear?", she asked.

"What?", you asked disinterested as you crossed your arms on the table and placed your head on them. School was always so boring.

"Mr. Park is ill so class B have maths with us today", she explained.

"What? Kuyngsoo's class?", you asked shocked.

You weren't ready for that. What would you talk about with Kyungsoo? And most importlantly, how would you face Kai? You didn't prepare anything for that moment specifically. You weren't supposed to meet him until lunch time, and then you were going to 'unintentionally' throw your food at him. You weren't that smart to think about a prank in that very moment. Why was life so unfair to you? Your heart raced as Kai and Kyungsoo arrived to your classroom. You begged for Kai not to sit near you but, as always, heavens weren't on your side. He sat just behind you; you were even able to feel his breathing in the back of your neck. Kyungsoo sat beside Kai. He looked so cute. His almost always perfect hair was messy that day, making him look sexier. You smiled stupidly as he waved at you.

"Hey, are you better? I was worried for yesterday's incident", he said as he looked at Kai severely.

"Yes, don't worry. It was nothing", you replied as you looked at Kai scornfully but it didn't seem to affect him.

"By the way, tonight is...", Kyungsoo began but he was interrupted by the teacher.

"Ok, class. We have more people than usual today so you'll have to tighten a little", she said. "Please, the ones in the bottom. Take one of the papers you have on your desks and pass the rest to the front", she continued.

"Nice handwriting", Kai said beside you, leaning his head over your shoulder as he handed you the papers. You closed quickly your notebook, nervous.

"Prove it was me", you said on the defensive.

"I don't have to prove anything. You betray yourself", he smirked. You felt your face burnt with rage. That bastard! Of course he was going to find out that you were the one who wrote 'dickhead' on his car since you were stupid enough to give yourself away.

"That's all you have?", he whispered.

"Not at all", you whispered back. You could even feel his smirk behind you.
