After school was just as uneventful as school was.

I did the homework Mrs. William gave me and any other work I could find to waste the time.

My mum and dad aren't home, as always, and I began was getting quite hungry. I pulled away from my homework-covered desk and made my way down the stairs and into the kitchen. I began to make a sandwich when the doorbell rang. It was probably one of Mum's friends returning for something she left at our house. I put down my two slices of bread and make my way to the door.

I open the door to see Phil standing in the snow that had been began to drift down, forming a small layer of snow on his head.

"Hi." He greets.

It was still snowing out and he was slightly shivering, so I quickly invited him inside. He stepped in and shook the snow off his hair.

He looks so cute.

"I, uh, hope you don't mind me asking but, um. Why are you here?" I ask in the most polite way I could muster out.

"I had Chris drop me off. I wanted to ask you something." He half-whispers the last part.
I nod my head, both of us walking up to my room and sitting on the bed.

My sandwich though, I thought mournfully. Oh well, Phil is more important.

Phil is sitting on my bed and I plop down in my desk chair, spinning it to look at his face.

"So what's up?" I ask. He looks away, slightly embarrassed.

"Well.. At Chris', we were talking and Chris said something and I wanted to know if it's true or not." He explained, looking anywhere but my face. Dammit, I know exactly what he did and that little prick is gonna pay for this.

"And what would that be?" I ask, trying to play it off. I put my elbows on my knees and place my head in my hands.

"Actually... I know exactly what he said a-and it's true, and I-I don't care what anyone else thinks." I say uneasily, not giving him the chance to speak. He finally looks at me, a sad look in his eyes.

"Oh... I didn't know." He says sadly.

"W-What do you mean?" I ask hurriedly.

"I didn't know you liked that... Amber chick, you sort of pushed her away when I was with you." He says, looking at the ground.

Wait, what the fuck?

"What are you talking about?! I don't like amber, I hate her! Is that what Chris told you?" I ask angrily. Why would Chris tell him this?

"He told me you have feelings for her. I thought you are gay Dan... Did you lie to me? To make me feel better?" He asks, hurt masking his eye.

"Phil, I can assure you I'm gay, I wouldn't fancy that whore even if I were straight." I scoff at the thought.

"What did you think I was talking about, then?" Phil asks curiously.

Oh, what the hell. It's now of never.

I lean back in the chair and twiddle my thumbs around in circles.

"I told Chris something a few days ago, I-I thought that's what you meant." I state quietly.

"What did you tell him?" He asks.

I take a deep breath.

"I told him and PJ that I... That I like you. A lot. I thought he told you, so I wast tying to clarify I do and t-that I don't care what anyone thinks." I say, as quiet as possible, hoping he didn't hear me. Phil still isn't looking at me, but I can see the smile growing on his face.

"Do you actually?" He asked, hope in his voice. I nod slowly.

"Absolutely, I think you're amazing, Phil."

His smile grows, causing my heart to skip a beat.

"I really like you too, Dan." He says quietly.

It's my turn to smile now.

We sit in silence, not knowing what to say next.

"So... What now?" Phil asks, breaking the silence.

I look at him, thinking my next move.

In one swift, movement I sit beside him and cup his face in my hands, feelings is warm, soft skin on my hands. I look in his captivating blue eyes for a few moments, taking in all their beauty before gently attaching our lips together.

It's a slow kiss, very light, hesitant movement. But it's the most mesmerizing kiss I've had. I carefully pull away, both of us breathing gently from our just-kissed lips.

"Do you want to go on a date?" I ask, still inches away from his lips.

"Yes." He whispers.

We stayed like that for a while, his face in my hands, our breaths grazing each others skin. It was perfect. After 5 minutes, we both slowly pull away in unison.

"We could go to dinner right now." I offer.

"I'll pay and get you back before your curfew." I promise. He smiles, his cheeks dusted with a pink color.

"That sounds perfect." He says. I look at him with a smile.

I can't help myself.

I pull him in for another kiss, just as calm and passionate as the first.

"Shall we be going then?" I ask, holding my hand out for his.

"Dan, you're in sweatpants." He giggles, studying my current state.

"Oh yeah, wait out in the hall, I'll be out in a second." I tell him.

He leaves and shuts the door behind him.

I force myself into some black jeans and a clean t-shirt. I grab a grey coat and meet Phil in the hall, taking his hand in mine and walking down the stairs.

My night just took a delightful unexpected turn.
