"Goodbye." She whispers to me, not even knowing it's me begging her to stay. To stay with me. Tears block my view of her weak smile. "Esme please. Stay!" I beg. I beg becaues she's my everything. I beg because she's my everything. I beg becaues a life without her... is a life I would die in. "Esme please." I whisper, my forehead against hers. "For me." I breathe. I brush her wet hair out of her face. "Come back to me Esme. Withot you I'm just a broken lonely pirate." cry.
"I'll see you in the ocean." She whispers, I almost missed it. "No. Please." I beg. Her skin pales as death starts to take her away from me. A strong arm brushes my shoulder, I look up. I think I died with her, for the man next to me should be dead... I saw him die. I saw how he fell.
He crouches beside me and puts a dark inky paste over her chest, where the dagger rests. He pulls it out and I see how her skin heals in moments the lethal wound now a small pink scar.
I wait for any sigh of life, an small movement. Her chest starts to move slowly. "She'll live. But she needs to rest." He says, then he leaves.
"How are you...?" I ask but can't seem to finish. "I met someone." He says then walks away.
She's alive.
