"Ainsley Pan is dead." My voice boom over the crowed. Some let out cries some let out gasps. "The Pan bloodline is dead?" A woman cries. "Esme Pan still lives!" I answer, but it didn't lift the mood. They lost a great leader, a leader who was close with every single one of them... and Esme she is unfortunate to be measured up to him and hisn't coming close to his level, for the people.
I sigh. "Casimero Ladron is upon us!" I yell to get everyone's attention again. "Will you fight with us? Will you fight to honor Ainsley Pan's legacy?" I look at each and every person. "HURA!" They all scream, lifting their fists. "Then let's fight!" I say victoriously.

And the crowd scatters as they look for anything that could work as a weapon. "Come my prince. Come to the water." A siren-like voice murmers. I freeze, I snap my head towards the beacha few feet away. "I wanted you ever since... I saw you, the traveler." She sings. "Damiao!" Another voice screams, and then my my face is grabbed by two soft hands, and I'm staring into my mother's face. "Don't listen to the sirens." She breathlessly. I frown at the words. "Sirens?" I whisper. "The mermaids left... I don't know why." She says, searching my face. Soft wrinkles are now visible around her eyes, mouth, and forehead. And her hair is starting to grey at the roots.
And that makes me want to cry, I've missed my mother for years. I forgot how her touch feels like, how she always protected me against my father. How she always calmed me down when I was scared or angry.
"Damiao?" She whispers worriedly. A tear slips down my cheek. "Please don't ever leave again." I say shakely. Her face melts into guilt and sadness. "I will never do that again." She vows, then pulls me in for a thight hug. I burry my face into her shoulder.

We all hide in the trees and bushes, preparing for an ambush. As my father's ship anchors and my sister's behind his. As the pirates prepare to leave my father's ship, we get our weapons ready. We won't attack until all of them are on the beach. "Oh lover man... I will love you better... than she ever can... just come closer." The siren sings in my head again. I grimace against her command.
Connor is the first to set foot on the beach, and then Casimero's boat comes next, they all have at least twelve people on a boat each, and Warrick is cuffed. Maria and her crew comes a few minutes later. My crew will go around the two ships and sneek into the forest to join us. "Bloody mermaids left the island!" Maria says kicking up sand in my direction, but I'm well hidden in the bush.

"Sirens will ruin our plan!" She goes on. But our father isn't bothered. My mother's breathe is shallow as she sees Casimero for the first time after many years. "Sirens or not, we will take rule of this island today!" Connor says annoyed. She glares at him. "You will never rule this island." She hisses. Connor hits her on the cheek making her stumble backwards, with a low groan. My mother whimpers softly next to me and I take her hand. "Enough with this nonsense! We don't have time to waist!" My father--Casimero growls in Spanish. "Yes captain." Connor says and the group starts to walk passed us, we wait for Maria's signal. For now we follow them in the shadows... and then we'll kill them all.
