The group walked closer to the target. It was an abandoned area with dark alleyways and abandoned buildings. Hitoshi glanced around the corner, looking at the building they were meant to be attacking. "Okay, this is the spot the tracker is broadcasting from."
"So, that's their hideout? Not a bad one, I guess," Kirishima muttered as he and Izuku peered around Hitoshi.
"It's like all their other ones," Izuku scoffed, crossing his arms. "Typical."
Kakashi hummed. "Something about it feels wrong."
"That's cause there's a Quirk around it," Charlie announced as she popped out of nowhere.
The group jumped back as Izuku grinned. "Charlie! Emiko!" The two girls shushed him. "You made it."
Emiko nodded as Charlie smirked. "You know it. Anyway, that building is surrounded by an anti-Quirk field, similar to the one I use. You're so used to me. You now have a 6th sense for it." Charlie chuckled as Kakashi opened and closed his mouth.
"I've never noticed that before."
"Really?" Izuku tilted his head. "It's how I know when it's Charlie."
Charlie and Kakashi whipped their heads around. "That's how you do it?" Charlie took a deep breath, shaking her head. "I based my anti-Quirk field on the Quirk that he uses."
"An anti-Quirk field? That doesn't sound good. If no one can use their Quirks, won't that stop even heroes from rescuing Bakugo?" Kirishima tilted his head as Charlie shook her head.
"That's not quite what that means. I suppose a barrier might be a better way of phrasing it. Quirks can be used on the inside or outside, but if someone on the inside tries to use a Quirk to affect the outside, it won't work and vice versa. It stops people from using Quirks to spy on the inside. We also can't cross the field without alerting the user."
"According to the tracking history, the villain hasn't left this location for the past day," Yaoyorozu interrupted. "But that's all we know. One villain is hiding here, but that could be it. They might have Bakugo somewhere else. We're going into this operation completely blind for the most part."
Izuku shook his head. "We're not completely blind. You're right; we don't know if Katsuki is here, but I can guarantee you that this place has more than one villain. AFO wouldn't bother with an anti-Quirk Barrier if there wasn't anything to hide."
"But, if this barrier prevents us from spying, how can we gather more information?" Shoto looked at Izuku as he and Charlie laughed.
"We may not be able to use Quirks, but that doesn't stop our other senses. We're doing this Quirkless."
"I don't like this," Iida stated. "None of us are good at sneaking around. We need Hagakure or Jiro here."
"Hey, you've got me. This is what Dad has been teaching me to do," Hitoshi announced proudly as Izuku whacked him. "Hey!"
"Don't rush in there. Weren't you paying attention? None of us can pass over the barrier without alerting AFO. We should keep to the alleyways and gather information before creating a plan."
Hitoshi sighed before he nodded. Iida frowned. "If I think things are gonna be the least bit dangerous, we're done. I won't hesitate to call the police, either. To make sure my friends are safe."
"Thank you, Iida," Yaoyorozu smiled. "So, what can we do with what's in front of us?"
~~~
The students regathered at the vending machine as Izuku pretended to buy a drink. "We've gotten pretty close, but I haven't seen anything move inside."
