Izuku sat in the classroom, waiting for Aizawa to show up.
"You think he'll show up," Hitoshi questioned as Izuku hummed.
"I think he'll get to the door, announce the task and collapse."
Uraraka frowned in confusion as she walked over. "What are you talking about?"
"If Aizawa will be here today," Izuku explained. "He was out super late last night, and there is no chance he got a decent night's sleep."
Uraraka was more confused. "How did you know that?"
Hitoshi rolled his eyes unhappily. "He woke up the entire house when he came back at 4am this morning. Mic and I didn't get back to sleep after."
Izuku chuckled while Uraraka only frowned more. "Wait, you live with them."
"Of course," Izuku answered. "They are his dads, after all."
"They are not my dads," Hitoshi shouted as Izuku laughed.
"Sure, sure. They are but sure."
It wasn't long before a tired-looking Aizawa walked into the classroom and stood at the front. "Now that the sports festival is over, you all have received offers to go with people for an internship." Aizawa brought up the offers from the sports festival. Todoroki was at the top, followed by Katsuki and finally Izuku.
"Wait," Uraraka called out. "Why are Midoriya and Bakugo so low compared to Todoroki?"
Todoroki answered, muttering under his breath. "Most of mine are probably just interested in me because of my father."
"And most of the big heroes quiver at the mention of me," Izuku joked. "I don't think they have any interest in the problem, kid of the city."
"If you stopped getting involved in things that don't affect you, more people would look at you favourably," Aizawa scolded as Izuku laughed.
"If the villains stopped attacking my friends, then we'll talk."
Aizawa didn't get a chance to answer Izuku when Midnight threw open the door. "Ignoring that, firstly, you have to choose your hero name. Be careful because if you choose one now, it will be your name for life."
Aizawa sighed heavily, going to the corner and curling into a ball. The class brainstormed their ideas, writing them on the whiteboards.
"Okay, who's first?" Midnight looked over the class as Aoyama called out, standing up and walking to the front. He held up a board saying, 'I cannot stop twinkling,' which Midnight examined furrowly.
"Very good, but how about we shorten it." Midnight took out her pen, crossing out the 'I' and swapping 'cannot' or 'can't'. The class stared in shock at Midnight's choice before Mina rushed up, suggesting the name 'alien queen' only to be instantly rejected.
The class held their breath as the third classmate walked to the front. Tsu held up her whiteboard, which had a simple name on it. 'Froppy'. Midnight adored the name, and the class let out a breath of relief, relaxing as they picked up the speed.
Shoji got the name the 'Tentacle hero, Tenacole' while Sato had the 'Sweets hero, Sugarman', and Jiro proposed the 'Hearing hero, Earphone Jack'.
Kirishima walked up nervously, presenting his name, the 'Sturdy hero, Red Riot', which Midnight looked at seriously.
"Is that based on Crimson riot?"
As it turns out, Kirishima super idolised Crimson and wanted to pay him homage. Midnight didn't reject the name but warned Kirishima of the pressure that came under carrying another hero's name.
After him, Uraraka went up, carefully holding up the name 'Uvarity'. She held her breath as she overexplained her choice to Midnight, who had no hesitations, letting Uraraka take on the name.
Then there was 'Creati' from Yaoyorozu, 'Pinky' from Mina, the 'stun gun hero, Chargebolt' from Kaminari, the 'tape hero Cellophane' from Sero and the 'jet black hero Tsukuyomi' from Tokoyamu.
Hitoshi went up hesitantly, glancing at Aizawa, who, at this point, was impossible to tell if he was asleep or not. "This is what I thought of, 'The controlling hero, Brainwave.'
Midnight accepted the name as Hitoshi let out a sigh, returning to his chair as Izuku smirked. "Not paying homage to your dads?"
Hitoshi kicked Izuku's chair, sending him to the ground as he stuck out his tongue.
"Why don't you present next, Izuku," Midnight called out as Izuku shrugged.
He picked up his board and rushed to the front. "Sure thing. It's the element hero, Mythology."
Midnight already knew the answer and let Izuku walk away. The rest of the class went after him. Katsuki walked to the front, suggesting the name 'Explosion hero, Ground Zero, ' which Izuku cheered for support. The only other names Izuku really noticed were Todoroki and Iida's lack of names.

Izuku scanned through the list of people who wanted him as an intern. Most of them were small-town heroes or heroes that had never met him before. Occasionally, though, he would spot a hero he had met before and knew he hated, so he ignored them.
"Having any luck," Hitoshi asked as Izuku scoffed.
"No one beneficial has come up."
"At least you have plenty of options." Hitoshi scanned through a couple of offers he got, but most weren't his vibe either.
"It would be better to go somewhere fire or heat-related so I can improve that part of my Quirk."
"Seems like you know what you're looking for."
"Yeah, but since I didn't really use my fire in the sports festival, not many fire users have tried to contact me and those who have won't be efficient enough."
"I see you're being super critical as usual." Hitoshi chuckled as Izuku huffed.
"Well, they're no good. That's not my fault. How are you doing?"
Hitoshi shook his head nervously. "I think I know where I'm going."
"Really? Well, at least one of us does."
The two laughed as Katsuki, Kirishima, and a couple of the other students joined them for lunch.
~~~
Izuku was getting frustrated. It had been a few days, and he still didn't have a clue. He had even taken to calling up a few of the fire heroes he had met before, but most were in therapy because of him and weren't eager to revisit the experience. He had one last shot, which he predicted was going to go about, as well as the rest.
He waited against the wall as the familiar figure walked by, not even noticing him. "Hey, Todoroki. Mind if we talk?"
~~~
The classes gathered at the train station as Aizawa shouted at the students about how to behave. Izuku kept glancing at Iida, who was quiet and at the back. When they were free, he said goodbye to his friends before walking to join Todoroki.
"Are you sure about this?"
"What's the worst that can happen? It's not like my sister punched him or anything."
Todoroki didn't respond to the joke as Izuku rolled his eyes. "Let's just go, Icy."
