The recovery effort lasted the rest of the night. Students who had minor injuries tended to be on sight, but the rest were transported off. Of the 40 students, 14 were unconscious and in serious condition due to the gas. Twelve others were injured, and Thirteen were unharmed physically.

Momo and Jiro were rushed to the hospital, by far the worst hurt in the camp. Pixie Bob was injured as well, and Ragdoll was missing.

Meanwhile, on the villains' side, three were caught and arrested. The other attackers managed to disappear without a trace.

"Izuku," Hitoshi called out as he spotted the heroes leading Izuku, Shoto, Tokoyami, Shoji, Uraraka and Tsu to the others. Hitoshi pulled Izuku into a hug, and Izuku chuckled.

"You seem worried about me."

Hitoshi pulled away before he hit Izuku. "What were you thinking?! Dad told me he had found you, but you had run off. They could have killed you."

"Dad? Finally admitting that?"

"Izuku. This is serious."

Izuku stopped joking. "I know, but I can handle myself against these villains. They're not the worst I've fought."

"They still almost took you," Shoto interrupted, taking Izuku's hand. "Just because you've taken care of yourself in the past doesn't mean you should put yourself in reckless danger now."

Izuku's eyes softened as he sighed. "Right."

"Your sister is going to be mad at you," Hitoshi warned as Izuku smiled weakly.

"Your other dad is going to cry over you and refuse to leave your side."

Hitoshi frowned. "And I will go deaf in the process."

Izuku scowled as he flicked through the news. The reporters were being assholes. The hospital was busy, but the class was in their own section, away from them, and there were no reporters that could be there.

"Izuku!"

Izuku barely had time to respond before Emiko pulled him into a hug. Behind Emiko were a couple of other family members who gathered around their child. "Where's mum?"

Emiko scoffed, pulling away. "Who knows. Where's Hitoshi? We should keep him company while Aizawa and Present Mic are dealing with the situation."

Izuku nodded, pulling Emiko to the side. After a few doors, he led her into the room containing Hitoshi. His arm had been put in a splint, and he was resting in a room with three other students, but he was okay.

Emiko sighed, watching Hitoshi as she tried to calm down. She had sprinted to the hostile the second she learnt Izuku was in danger, abandoning her mentor though she was fairly sure he told her to go as she ran.

She jumped out of her thoughts when she noticed Shoto walk in. She quietly shushed him as he nodded, taking a seat with Izuku.

Izuku leaned into Shoto's side, sighing weakly.

Emiko let her mind drift back to the situation as she pulled out her phone. She chewed on her lip, unsure if she should send the message. She sent it in the end. 'Come to the hospital. Izuku needs you.' Inko read the messages but didn't respond.

~~~
It was late when the door slammed open. Nurses shouted for the intruder to be quiet, but since when did that stop them.
In the doorway stood three people in Shinjuku uniforms, Kakashi, a first-year girl and a very tired-looking teacher.
"Is he hurt?!" The first year ran over as Emiko stood up.
