Y/N POV:

Bestie❤️‍🔥: Y/N Y/N Y/N!!!

Me: haha yeah, C/N?

Bestie ❤️‍🔥: you know the rockstar I've been practically worshipping since forever?

Me: how would I *not* know about him by now? You only talk about him *all the time*.

Bestie❤️‍🔥: yeah yeah I get the point. Anyway, guess who just got a ticket to his concert?!?!?! Ahhhhh I'm so excited!!!!1!1!!

I process C/N's text and feel a sense of panic, realizing that he's going to be at one of my concerts without realizing it's me.

Shit. I need to just pretend to not care that much.

Me: congrats, C/N! I'm happy for you. When is it?

I need to prepare to see him and act like I don't know him.

Bestie❤️‍🔥: actually, I'm gonna go see him tonight!

F u c k .

Me: tonight?

Bestie❤️‍🔥: mhm. Too bad you have work tonight 🫤 I'd totally bring you along, otherwise.

If only he knew what my "work"actually was.

Me: I appreciate the thought, but I'm good. Thank you, though.

Bestie ❤️‍🔥: you're welcome :D

He's so cute oh my god.

Me: anyway, I have to get ready for work now. I'll talk to you after the concert, yeah?

Before❤️‍🔥: okey dokey!

~*time skip to right before the concert starts*~

I slightly adjust the position of the voice changer behind the mouthpiece of my mask, making sure it's going to be in front of my mouth but not close enough to muffle my words. I grab the small remote control to the voice changer and put it into my pocket, pressing the "on" button to test it out. I put the mask up to my face and begin to speak.

"Test, test, one, two, three."

It works. Good.

I turn the voice changer off with the remote, fully putting the remote in my pocket. I grab the strap to my mask and pull it back slightly, pushing my mask against my face. I reattach the strap to my mask, securing it on my face.

There we go.

"Thirty seconds until showtime, Y/N!"

"Okay, got it."

I reach into my pocket and turn the voice changer on, climbing up the stairs leading to the stage and smiling behind my mask at the sound of cheering from the audience.

"Hi everybody! How's everyone doing tonight?"

The cheering gets louder at my question, making my smile widen despite the fact that the audience can't see it. I start to hear especially loud cheering from someone in the front row, making me curious. I shift my gaze to the source of the sound, my eyes widening in silent panic when I realize who it is.
