Epilogue

2nd POV

Sunlight filled the kitchen and danced around you as the pot on the stove boiled, you stirred it a few times ensuring it wouldn't burn before stepping away and out into the garden. You looked out onto the rolling fields behind your small cottage, with a little area sectioned off for your garden by a small stone wall that had moss creeping between the stones. And just in front of the wall was sporadic clusters of plants that thrived in the late spring sunlight, as you admired the growing plants a laughing child crashed into your legs,

"Oh, and what do you think you are doing?" You asked the child, they didn't respond and instead took off giggling. You laughed at the small childs antics and chased after them calling out to them with threats of endless tickles.

Just as you were about to grab your kid they were scooped up off the ground, looking up you were met with the scene of Kenma kissing your child's forehead and smiling down at them. Joining them you huddle close and begin to tickle your kids stomach as Kenma holds them up making sure they don't fall from all their squirming. Sunlight shines over you all and warms you as it glints across the gold bands on your and Kenma's fingers, and as you soak it in you are fit with a sudden wave of deja vu as if this exact scene had been something you'd seen before. Looking up and over to the kitchen door you see the shimmering outline of what you can only assume to be your younger self, you smile at them and turn back to Kenma knowing that everything worked out.

A/N: Hey everybody, lol I know I said I was done with this but my exam have been done and I wanted an easy and quick way to get back into writing because I missed it but the longer stories seemed so scary to just get into. Also when I first started writing this story I wanted to include an epilogue but then I finished all the main chapters and I just wanted to be done, honestly I am happy I came back to this though because it is a fun call back to chapter 12 which I had originally written to be kind of like the basis of the epilogue. Anyways this is the real end of the story I am trying to write a few other things that might take a while because I am slowly trying to build up my writing again, but if you are interested I will probably post more on tumblr as a lot of stuff will be oneshots but when I finish stories I will post them here and on AO3 if you guys are interested.
