As I stare at my bedroom ceiling, I let my mind roam free, not a care to anyone's opinions or beliefs. No one can hurt me here, when I'm all alone.
Should I tell mom that I saw the Puma? No, she'll just worry and she probably won't let me run ever again. It took me months to convince her and dad to let me run after the Puma attacked me.
My thoughts are interrupted when Luna comes and hops into bed with me. She whines and sets her head on my stomach."Sweetie, I'm not in the mood to run today," I apologetically whisper. I don't want my baby to get hurt.
Suddenly, my door swings open, and Tiff waltzes in. She's carrying a plastic bag from Target, that has a lot of junk in it. She doesn't say anything, just reaches into the bag, and pulls out a DVD case, and slips it into my TV.
"What movie," I ask, trying to sound cheerful.
"I have a couple...they're all Disney movies. I just put in The Little Mermaid," she says, giving me a huge smile.
"Ooh my favorite." I approved. I know I'm a little old, but can you really be too old for Disney? No, I didn't think so.
Tiff hops into bed with me, and hands me a pint of mint chocolate chip ice cream and a spoon. She pulls out chocolate for herself."Thanks. Who died?" I laugh. She just rolls her eyes at me, and we start to watch the movie, starting our long Disney marathon.
