"Omigosh, you're awake!" I exclaim, tears rolling down my face.
"Yeah. Why are you crying Charlie?" he asks.
"You've been in a coma for almost 3 weeks Caleb," I inform him.
"Really? Wow. What about you are you okay?" he asks me, concerned.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I laugh. "But what about you, how do you feel? Are you in pain?"
"I'm fine Charlie. Don't worry about me," he assures me. I wrap my arms around his neck and just sit like that for a while, hugging him.
"I need to tell someone you're awake, ok? They have to run tests on you and stuff," I say after a while, and start to stand up.
"Oh joy," he mutters. "But before you leave," he starts, and then pulls me down and kisses me.
"I just wanted to do that," he laughs. "Now you can go get the doctors so they can poke me with needles for the rest of the day."
"Aww Caleb, it's not that bad. It will only take an hour or so."
"Just kill me now," he jokes. I look at him seriously.
"That is not something to joke about mister," I scold, trying to stay serious. But I end up laughing instead.
"I'll be back soon, ok Caleb," I assure.
"Ok Charlie. Hurry back."
