I technically can't walk right now. Apparently, when I fell and split my leg, I damaged it pretty severely. To add to that, the Puma's claws tore a tendon or something in my other leg. So I have to use a wheelchair, which is ok. I guess.
Tiff helps me get into the chair, and wheels me out of the room.
"Tiff, can you take me to the gift shop first?" I ask.
"Sure, but its on the first floor. And do you have money?" she replies.
"No, do you."
"I think I might have 10 dollars in my pocket. Let me check." She pauses for a second, before continuing. "Yes, I have money."
We get to an elevator, and I lean forward and hit the down button. When the door opens, Tiff wheels me in.
"How's Luna," I ask. I've really missed my dog and I've been worrying about her.
"She's moping around the house, waiting for you to come home," Tiff informs me.
The doors open, and the gift shop is right across from the elevator. Tiff takes me in, and I wheel around trying to find an appropriate gift. I decide on a stuffed animal- a cougar.
"Um, Lottie, do you really thing that's smart?" Tiff asks.
"Caleb has a sense of humor. He'll love it. Trust me."

We've paid the cashier, and we are back in the elevator. Tiff hits the button with the number 8 on it."You've been to see him?" I ask.
"Yeah. I had to thank him for taking care of you. But you should have seen Josh when they brought you guys in. As soon as he knew you were okay, he went to see Caleb. He feels awful. "
"How is he?" Part of me doesn't want to know. But I need to prepare myself.
"He's.... pretty bad. He's got IV's plugged into him, cuts and scrapes all over him. A couple stitches on his right arm. And his head is bandaged. But he looks so much better now than when they brought him in."
The doors open, and I see in big letters 'ICU: Intensive Care Unit.'
"Are you ready," Tiff asks.
"As ready as I'll ever be."
We go up to the desk and sign in, before she wheels me down a long hallway.
"He's in the last door to the right," she tells me. We are three doors away. Now two. Now we are at the door. The curtain is drawn so you can't see through the glass window.
Tiff opens the door, and wheels me inside.
