Caleb and I are sitting on a log, trying to decide what to do for food and shelter. After all, it looks like we are going to have to stay the night.

"I'm hungry. Ugh," I complain. Caleb rolls his eyes at me.

"I'm hungry too. But we'll be home soon. I'm sure people are looking for us right now. Well be rescued soon. You'll see," he assures me.

I think about all the food in my cupboard at home, and wish I were at home. How did everything get so complicated. A week ago, I was so sure of everything. I knew who I cared about, who I hated, and who I was. Now I'm not sure of anything.

"There are tons of squirrels out here. They have to be eating something," Caleb suggested.

"Are you saying we should eat acorns and pine nuts? Are you kidding me?"

"I wish I were. But that's all we have. Unless you want to eat the squirrels?"

"Ugh I hate it when you're right. I guess it's natures granola." I say. Then a realization hits me. "Of course... granola!" I quickly pull the granola bar out of my pocket that I had grabbed before I left for the walk.

"Oh my god, we have food!" Caleb jokingly exclaims. I love that about him; we are in such a dangerous mess, and yet he still has a sense of humor. If he acted as worried as I feel, I think I might go crazy.

I lean my head on him as we eat our small meal, and pray to god that we make it out of here.

A/N I have had writers block. I know what I want to happen but I can't figure out how to write it. This chapter is more of a filler. And I haven't updated for a while because I've been adjusting to high school. I'll start updating more frequently now. =] thanks for reading.
