"Tae...............

"Tae...............

"Tae...............

"Taehyung!" Namjoon yelled, making Tae snap out of his frozen state. His hands were still shaking badly and tears kept falling from his eyes as he looked up.

"Tae..." Namjoon called again, stepping closer and placing a hand on Tae's trembling shoulder. Tae slowly looked at Namjoon, his teary eyes full of fear and pain. Namjoon's heart clenched at the sight-it was the first time he ever saw Taehyung this broken. Not even when Hyungsik passed away did he cry like this.

"Bear...come here," Namjoon whispered softly, opening his arms.

Tae let out a choked sob and got up slowly, walking into Namjoon's arms and hugging him tightly, almost like he was scared he'd fall apart if he let go.

"Hy...hyung...K-Kookie...he...he is not...wak...waking up... I... I'm so sc...scared," Tae said between hiccups, his grip tightening around Namjoon.

"Shhh...shhh...it's okay, baby bear...he's gonna be okay, alright? Kookie is strong...he'll be fine," Namjoon whispered, patting Tae's back gently.

"I-it's...m-my fa-fault...hyung...I to-told him to s-sit in the c-car...I said I'll bring the ice cream...i-it's all m-my fault," Tae cried, still hiccuping with every word.

Namjoon pulled back slightly and cupped Tae's face, looking at him gently. "No more blaming yourself, okay? Don't cry, Tae. Kookie doesn't like it when you cry. He'll get upset. Do you want that?"

Tae quickly shook his head into the hug, sniffing. "No..."

"Then be strong for him, hmm?" Namjoon whispered, brushing Tae's hair back softly. "You're his hyungie... his safe place... you need to be strong for your little moon."

Tae slowly nodded, wiping his tears as he sat down on the chair again. Namjoon walked away for a second and came back with a water bottle.

"Here, first drink this," he said, giving it to Tae, who took it silently and sipped slowly.

The silence between them was heavy. Tae just sat there, staring at the door where they had taken Jungkook in. Namjoon sat beside him, holding his hand gently, talking to him in a soft voice, telling him comforting things-anything to help him hold on.

Hours passed like forever, every second felt longer than the last. Then finally, the door opened and within a second, Tae jumped up and ran to the doctor.

"Doctor! Is he okay? What happened to him? Is he hurt badly? Is it serious? He didn't wake up when I tried... Is everything alright? Can I see my little moon? Did he wake up?" Tae asked everything in one breath, his voice desperate and shaky.

The doctor smiled gently and said, "Calm down, Mr. Kim. He's stable now. The injury isn't life-threatening, and he's unconscious due to the medication. He'll be awake in a few hours, so please don't worry. But there's something important I need to discuss with you in my chamber."

Tae and Namjoon looked at each other, confused. "Can I see him once, please? I will come right after" Tae asked, voice small.

The doctor nodded with a soft smile and told him his room number before walking away.

Namjoon looked at Tae and said, "You go and see him. I'll call the others. I didn't tell them yet-I wanted to wait until we heard what the doctor had to say. I'll call them now."

Tae nodded and quietly walked inside, while Namjoon stepped away to make the calls.

Tae opened the door slowly and stepped inside, his heart clenching at the sight in front of him. Kook was lying on the bed, wires attached to his hand and a thick bandage wrapped around his head. His usually bright, smiling bunny now looked so pale and fragile.
