In the evening, both Tae and Kook were at their offices like usual. The day passed with little texts—cute “miss you”s and teasing emojis—but as the clock ticked closer to six, Kook’s phone buzzed with an incoming call.

“Hey, Hyungie,” Kook answered, his voice soft. “Hey, little moon, what are you doing?" Tae replied warmly, making Kook blush at the nickname.

“I’m with Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung right now,” Kook said, glancing at them as they chatted nearby.

“Perfect,” Tae said. “Let them know you’re leaving early. I’m picking you up in an hour.”

“Why, Hyungie?” Kook asked, tilting his head slightly, his voice all innocent.

“Because we’re going on a date, silly. You need time to get ready. So we’ll go home first, and then head out, alright?”

Kook’s face turned red in an instant. “Really?” he asked, shy but excited.

Tae chuckled. “Yes, really. My little moon deserves the sweetest evening. I’ll be there soon. Love you.”

Kook smiled shyly and ended the call without replying.

A few seconds later, his phone rang again. Kook picked it up, confused. “Hyungie?”

“Why did you cut the call?” Tae asked, pretending to sound hurt.

“You said you’ll come… so I thought…” Kook replied softly.

“But I said ‘love you’ and you didn’t say it back,” Tae pouted through the phone.

“Hyungie… I’m with Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung,” Kook mumbled shyly.

“So? I still want to hear it,” Tae teased.

“I’ll tell you when you get here, okay?” Kook bargained, covering the receiver with his hand as Jin gave him a suspicious look.

“Nope,” Tae replied, clearly enjoying the moment.

“Please, Hyungie,” Kook whispered.

Tae laughed. “Fine. But I’m taking a kiss as punishment later. Deal?”

Kook bit his lip to hold back a smile. “Okay… deal.”

And with that, he hung up, his face glowing while Jin and Yoongi exchanged knowing glances.

After ending the call, Kook tried to act normal, but his smile gave him away.

Jin narrowed his eyes. “Why are you smiling like that, huh?”

Yoongi looked up from his laptop. “You’ve got that ‘secret mission’ face again. What’s going on?”

Kook rubbed the back of his neck. “Uh… I need to leave early today.” Jin raised an eyebrow. “Again? Why?”

Kook tried to stay casual. “Tae hyung’s picking me up.” Both Jin and Yoongi looked at each other, then back at him.

“Taehyung?” Yoongi asked. “Since when does he pick you up from work?”

Kook blinked. “Umm…  from a few days before the thailand trip and just today. He… he said he needed help with something.”

Jin leaned in suspiciously. “Help with what?” Kook laughed nervously. “Something important… I think it’s about his outfit or something?”

Yoongi deadpanned, “You’re leaving work early to help him with clothes?” “Hyung, it’s complicated!” Kook said quickly, cheeks turning pink. “Anyway, he said it’s urgent.”
