“Kookie…” Taehyung whispered, voice breaking as he looked at him with those tear-filled eyes. “Yes, hyungie?” Jungkook said softly, his tone so gentle like he was trying not to hurt him more.

Taehyung sat up slowly, his hands shaking as he reached out, touching Jungkook’s cheek like he was afraid he would disappear. He couldn’t hold it in anymore. Tears just started falling again. He moved closer and wrapped his arms around Jungkook’s shoulders, hugging him tight like he was the only thing keeping him alive.

The hug was so sudden that Jungkook fell back on the floor, and Taehyung just followed him down, his face pressed into Jungkook’s neck as he started crying hard.

“I thought I lost you…I thought you left me,” Taehyung cried, voice shaking so bad. “I’m sorry, kookie…I’m sorry for everything…I didn’t mean any of it…Please don’t leave me…I can’t…I can’t live without you…”

Jungkook’s arms came up around him, holding him close, warm and steady while Taehyung was breaking apart in his arms.

“Shh…it’s okay, hyungie…I’m here,” Jungkook whispered softly, his hand stroking over Taehyung’s hair. “I’m not going anywhere…”

“I’ll do anything…just don’t go…I’m sorry…I love you so much…” Taehyung cried into his neck, holding onto him tighter.

“I know, my bear…I know…” Jungkook said softly, not crying, just being strong for him. He pulled back a little and kissed Taehyung’s hair, then pressed his cheek there.

“I’m here…I’m always here…don’t cry anymore,” he whispered, brushing his thumb over Taehyung’s wet cheek. Taehyung sobbed harder, his heart hurting but feeling a little lighter because Jungkook was really here.

“I love you…my little moon…I love you,” Taehyung whispered again, voice all broken. Jungkook just hugged him tighter, his voice soft and calm.

Kook was still on the floor, hugging Tae who was lying on him, crying messily into his neck. He didn’t move, just kept holding him and calming him softly. It felt like hours until Tae’s cries finally slowed down. He didn’t let go though, he only hugged Kook tighter like he was scared he would vanish.

Kook ruffled Tae’s hair gently and asked in a soft voice, “Can we get up now? Everyone is looking at us.”

Tae shook his head with a little whimper, refusing to let go. He just pressed closer to Kook’s chest.

Kook let out a small chuckle. “You can still hug me on the couch, my bear. The floor is cold,” he whispered. Tae finally lifted his head, eyes red and puffy. He looked at Kook for a moment, then nodded slowly.

He stood up shakily and reached his hand out for Kook. Kook took it and got up, brushing Tae’s hair back from his eyes before guiding him gently to the couch.

Tae sat down without saying anything, still looking so lost. Everyone was watching them with worried eyes.

Kook sat beside him and took Tae’s trembling hand in both of his, rubbing circles on his skin.

“You…you left me…” Tae whispered, his voice breaking as fresh tears filled his eyes. “Why did you leave me? You don’t love me anymore…do you?”

Kook sighed and leaned closer, pressing their foreheads together for a second. “How can I be without loving you?” he whispered. “I will always love you, hyungie. Always.”

“Then why did you leave me? I…I told you I would explain, but you didn’t listen to me…you just left me…you don't want to listen to me” Tae’s voice cracked as he held onto Kook’s hand tighter.
