It had been four days since the day Taehyung went out with Hobi. When they returned, Jungkook didn’t ask many questions—he simply looked at Taehyung and asked quietly, “Was the meeting okay?”

Taehyung gave a small smile and replied, “Yeah, it went well.”

That simple answer made something inside Jungkook sink. He nodded, pretending to be fine, but the silence between them felt heavier than ever.

Meanwhile, Hobi had tried to open the files they had taken from Ami’s laptop—only to realize they had been tricked. The files were empty. And on one of them, a message appeared in bold text:

“Such foolish brats.”

Taehyung’s jaw clenched in anger when he saw it. Someone was clearly playing with them—and winning. The taunt only fueled his desire to find whoever was behind this. He didn’t realize, though, that while chasing shadows, he was slowly shattering someone else’s heart.

Since that day, Taehyung began going out more often, following Jeon’s family or watching Ami from a distance. Each time he left, he would make up a different excuse for Jungkook.

But what Taehyung didn’t know… was that Jungkook always found out.

Every time he was lied to—even gently—Jungkook sensed it. Whether it was intuition or just knowing Taehyung too well, he could always tell. Just like before.

And it started to hurt.

Jungkook grew quiet. Insecure. His thoughts became darker, his heart heavier. The accident had already left deep scars—both on his body and in his soul. But now… now he started wondering if Taehyung’s heart was drifting away too.

"Maybe hyung loves someone else.". "Maybe he finds me different now... ugly, even."

He’d stand in front of the mirror late at night, staring at his reflection—the scar marks, the change in his body—and wonder if he was no longer enough. If he wasn’t beautiful anymore. If he was the reason Taehyung kept leaving.

But did Taehyung know?
No. Not even a little.

He was so focused on catching the psycho who had started sending threatening messages again, that he didn’t see what was happening right in front of him. The most innocent heart—the one that trusted him the most—was slowly breaking.

And if he didn’t realize soon…
He might lose something far more precious than he could ever imagine.

It was another day, and once again, Taehyung was getting ready to leave after everyone had gone to the office. But today… he was actually going to the office.

Still, do you think Jungkook would believe that? After all the little lies he’s had to swallow lately?

Jungkook sat quietly on the bed, his eyes following every movement Taehyung made while getting dressed. He didn’t say anything—he just watched, almost like he was waiting… hoping Taehyung would say something. Anything.

“All ready, Kookie,” Taehyung said with a soft smile. “I’ll get going now.”

Jungkook forced a small smile and nodded, then hesitantly said, “Hyungie?” Taehyung turned, his eyes gentle. “Yeah, Kookie?”

“Can you come back early today? I… I want to go out. Just the two of us. Shall we go somewhere tonight?” His voice was quiet, almost unsure.

Taehyung’s expression softened, and he walked closer with a warm smile. “Of course. I’ll be back soon, my bunny,” he said, ruffling Jungkook’s hair.

And with that, he left.

But his mind was far from calm. Lately, the stress had been piling up. The threats from the psycho weren’t just talk anymore. Just yesterday, he received a new message:
“I’m ready. The next target is him.”
It meant Jungkook.
