Clint's POV
After I woke up I went out in the main lounge and looked out the window. I loved being in high places, looking down on everything. 'And I get some peace and quiet for once.' Just as I thought that I heard Amanda and Steve coming down the hall. 'Of course. You can only get three seconds of peace around here.'"Steve, when you said 'I've got a plan' I didn't think you meant we were going to trade clothes with homeless people and roll around in the dirt." Amanda groaned.
"Well it worked, didn't it?" Steve countered.
They came in to the room "You could have found a smaller homeless person." Amanda said holding up her arms, showing that the baggy shirt was so big that it was falling off of her body.
"I'm sorry I didn't have time to look for a homeless lady, there were two homeless guys so I went for it." Steve argued.
I blinked a few times, trying to understand what was happening here. Steve and Amanda were wearing ratty clothes with holes in them and they were both covered in dirt. Steve's hair was messy and his clothes were so small his muscles were literally bulging out of his shirt. Amanda's clothes were too big, and she looked like a little girl who tried on her dad's clothes. They turned to me when they noticed me by the window.
Amanda was the first to speak."Oh... Hi Clint."
I gave them both a look. "Um... What..." I started but Steve cut me off.
"It's a long story."
"And it's only 7 in the morning." I chuckle. "You guys get showered and changed, I'll wake everyone up. I have I feeling you have a reason for taking homeless people's clothes, yes?"
"We didn't take we traded." Steve corrected.
"Whatever." I mumble.

Tony's POV
I gained one thing from everything that Amanda and Steve said. "So now we have to worry about Hydra too?" I clarified."I don't think we have to worry about Hydra that much. They haven't attacked us before, why would they do it now?" Bruce pointed out.
"First time for everything." Clint uttered under his breath.
"I'm not so worried about them attacking us, I'm more worried about how they found out about Amanda. She just got here." Steve put in.
"I can answer that for you." Amanda said, she was standing by the window and was looking down at the city below. She looked up at Steve. "You said SHIELD fell, right? Along with all of its secrets?" When Steve nodded Amanda continued. "I was a SHIELD agent, which means they would have documented me. If all of SHIELD's files are out it probably wasn't that hard to get information on me."
Steve still wasn't settled. "But they're looking for you. And they came pretty darn close if you ask me."
"No they did not. We made it out, no sweat." Amanda argued.
"They had us surrounded." Steve countered.
"Don't you hate it when couples argue." I mumbled loudly to Bruce, making sure everyone heard. I smiled 'That shut them up real quick.' I was getting two stone cold stares so I thought it was time to change the subject. "I don't know why you guys are still talking about this, it isn't an issue. There is no way they can attack us in the tower."
"Oh I meant to ask, what does everyone think this building is?" Amanda asked.
"Come again?" I questioned, not understanding her.
"Well this is in the middle of a highly populated city..." Amanda said looking through the window. "And it is one of the tallest buildings, which is an interesting choice for a base. So what do people think this super tall building is? It must attract a lot of unwanted attention."
"They think it's the Avengers Tower." I say bluntly. "I even put a huge 'A' on the side for Avengers."
She squinted in concentration. "So you not only have a super tall base that can be seen from the top of every other building in New York... You also told all of your enemies where it is. Why wouldn't Hydra attack?"
"Um, we're the Avengers." I point out.
"Seriously?" She looked at me with disgust. "You think that's going to stop someone from taking a rocket launcher on one of these roofs and blowing you guys away. Ah yes I can't see it now." She made the sound of a bomb sailing through the air and exploding. Then she imitated me. "But we're the Avengers... Ker-splat!" She pointed to the city below. "Look guys, it's Tony's remains on the sidewalk."
"I bet I still look good squashed." I put in.
She ignored my comment and went on. "And seriously?? Giant windows? Who came up with that, if I were your enemy I'd snipe you off one by one when you came near the window. You know what forget that, I'd just stake out by your front door and wait for you to come out."
"Ok in my defense, Jarvis has a very good security system. And you have to admit the building looks so cool."
"Wow, you win. Thanks that's really reassuring." Amanda murmured sarcastically. She turned towards the window and her eyes widened. "Cap break the window!" She yelled as she stretched out her arm. As Rogers broke the window Amanda blew the top off of the faucet and water was rushing towards her. She jumped out the window and was caught by the water moving under her feet. She thrust her arm out and a rush of water came out and completely surrounded something. A missile.
I called my suit to me but as soon as it came Amanda had frozen the missile, and it was hanging in midair attached to the building by a thin strand of ice. I sighed in relief. 'That could've been bad. At least her ice froze the circuits.' Amanda came back into the room and glared at me.
"Ok, ok, I have a few minor design flaws. But just so you know I'm working on another base in a very secluded area." I admit. "But come on! Really? You had to destroy my perfectly fine window."
Thor spoke up. "We do not have time for this, our focus must be on finding the tesseract. Once the thieves have rebuilt their vessel there is no way we can stop them."
Natasha's eyes kept darting to the window. "But we have to remember there are still tons of Hydra agents in New York and we don't know if they will attack again. We are lucky Amanda has a good eye or else we might be toast."
I looked over at Steve who had his classic commanding face right now, which could only mean one thing. 'It looks like the Star-Spangled-Man has a plan."
Steve cleared his throat. "Ok. Tony, Bruce, you stay here and keep tracking the tesseract. Thor, Natasha, Barton, and I will go out and try get the remainder of Hydra out of New York for now."
"Eh-hem" Amanda coughed.
"They're looking for you Amanda, we can't just go out and give you to them. You are going to stay here." He commanded.
"You don't think I can handle myself?"
"I just don't want you to get h..." He coughed. "I meant I don't want Hydra to get what they want. I've seen what they do to people..."
'Wow Cap, that was the worst save in the world. We all knew what you were going to say... Idiot. Seen what they do to people? What... Oh right Buckeye or whatever his name is. He said something about Hydra experimenting on him'
"Why don't you help Tony and I with tracking?" Bruce put in, trying to make a compromise. He looked to me for support.
"Yes, a few nerds always enjoy company." I smile.
After giving Cap a stare she turned around. "Whatever." She muttered.
