Amanda's POV
I was awake, but I wasn't. My eyes were glued shut but my mind was racing. I could hear, smell, and touch, but the senses felt hazy. Like they were only half real. But I knew they were real. I could just tell.

I was being carried. Gentle hands I could barely feel swayed me back and forth. I heard the voice belonging to the person, but it sounded so far away.

"That's it. We've waited long enough. Tell us what you did to her and how to fix it." It sounded like Bucky.

"Put her on the couch." Wanda's voice commanded. I felt myself be set on plush cushions.

"Answers. Now." This time it was Steve's voice. I wonder who all was here.

"It's difficult to explain..."

"No, it's really not." Clint butted in.

"She's sleeping and we want her awake. Simple. Just tell us how. Is this gonna be a Sleeping Beauty type of thing? Who volunteers to be Prince Charming?" That's Tony alright. How big is this room?

"That's Snow White, not Sleeping Beauty." Someone interjected. I couldn't tell who, Pietro maybe? The voices were so far away.

I heard Wanda sigh. "I wish it were that simple."

"Wait, it's not that simple?" Natasha asked.

"No, what I did... It's complicated."

"Un-complicate it." Steve growled.

"The brain is a... delicate thing. Yet it's in charge of so much. Thought, touch, smell, sight, sound, taste, life..."

"Did you control her mind?" Bucky accused. I could only imagine his I'm gonna kill you look by his tone.

"Not directly."

"How do you indirectly control someone's mind?" Tony wondered.

"I control her senses." Wanda explained. " It's like this; if I want her to move to the left, I make her eyes see a wall to the right. If I want her to stand still, I make her feel handcuffs on her wrists. Anything I do to trick her senses her brain is trying to make sense of. If her hands and eyes tell her brain there's a wall there it'll believe it."

"Wouldn't there be conflicts with reality?" Tony asked. "Wouldn't there be times where her senses conflict with each other, sometimes seeing mixtures of what you want her to and the real world?"

"At the beginning, yes. But I numbed her senses to the point they stopped working for themselves. That way she doesn't actually see, feel, smell, touch, or taste anything for herself. It's all on what I tell her to believe."

"How did she see us then?" Bucky asked. "Back at the base when she saved us. You can't tell me that was somehow fake."

"I was helping her. Her senses aren't used to working on their own. They're used to being spoon fed sights, sounds, and smells by me."

"They've only been down a couple of days." Tony pointed out. "How much damage could've really been done?"

A couple of days? It felt like an eternity. My head was spinning uncontrollably. There's no way that was only a couple of days.

"That reminds me of another thing you should know..." Wanda admitted.

"What is it now?" It sounded like Thor's voice... Him and Koda must've made it out while I was passed out. A feeling of overwhelming happiness came over me. My brothers are safe.
