Missing them

Soffia's POV

I keep my hand clung to Rosalie's shirt and stay as close to her as possible. There's so many vampires surrounding our living room. Everyone here to help us but I can't help but feel overwhelmed. "It's okay baby, they won't hurt you" Rosalie says softly to me, as she and Emmett continue their conversation with someone.

"Lotta red eyes around here" Jacob says causing me to wince, "they agreed not to hunt in the area" Bella says. "But they'll feed somewhere" Jacob says, "what do expect them to do Mutt? die of thirst?" I snap causing Rosalie's, Emmett's, Bella's, Esme's and Jacob's eyes to snap toward me. "Soffia!" Bella says making me flinch at her tone.

"What's with the attitude bunny?" Rosalie says slightly crouching down as they make a circle around me. "I-i'm sorry just overwhelmed, s-sorry Jacob" I say quickly hoping to not get in trouble or get any talking tos. "It's okay Soffia, i'd be overwhelmed also" he says looking down. "let's take a break yeah?" Rosalie says grabbing my hand and leading me out of the crowded area.

"Look at me Soffia" Rosalie says making me pout and look up at her "I know you miss Alice and Jasper but you can't catch an attitude with people okay?" she says, I nod as she pulls me into her embrace "just miss them a lot and there's so much happening" I say, she rubs my back. "I know bunny" she says.

A week passes

I've barely allowed myself to slip since Alice and Jasper left, it's been too long without them. I think theres about 18 vampires staying with us now. Everyone has learned the truth about Renesmee and agreed to be a witness which is good.

"Who's that Rosie?" I ask pointing to the vampire in front of Edward, Renesmee and Bella. "That's Zafrina she has the power over the mind. She can make anyone see what she wants them too" Rosalie says making me nod. "cool can I meet her?" I ask, Rosalie nods taking my hand and leading me over there.

"Edward, you didn't tell me your wife is a shield" Eleazar says. "what's a shield?" Bella ask. Edward smiles and nods "the ones i've met are so different" Edward says as I lean into Rosalie. "It's a defensive talent" Eleazar says. "it's why I couldn't read your mind, even before. It's why Aro couldn't" Edward says.

"You have a very powerful gift" Eleazar says. Kate quickly grabs ahold of Bella's hand "oh yeah. she's a shield all right. Shoulda put her on her ass" she says making me giggle as she sends a wink my way. "or you voltage has been exaggerated" Garrett says. "maybe it only works on the weak" Kate says putting her hand up daring Garrett to touch her.

"I wouldn't" I mumble causing Garrett to roll his eyes with a smile and touch his fingers to Kate's hand and he's instantly electrocuted and falls to the ground. I laugh as Garrett looks up at her "you are an amazing woman" he says making me scrunch my nose and turn towards Zafrina "can I see what you can do?" I ask looking at her she chuckles.

My eyes blank as I look around me, seeing something completely different than what was just in front of me. There's snow falling and all the trees are covered as polar bears are trying to get food. I can hear penguins somewhere as my mouth fall open from amazement "wow" I say as I hear laughing coming from around me "That's enough for now, thank Zafrina bunny" I hear Rosalie say as the vision of the winter wonderland disappears causing me to pout.

"Thank you Zafrina" I say as she nods and Rosalie leads me away from them "wait someone's coming" Rosalie says holding me close to her. "Vladimir, Stefan, you're a long way from home" Carlisle says as I stare at the vampire that has just arrived. I blank out on anything they are saying as I stay close to Rosalie.

"This is all about Alice. He has no one like her" Edward says making my eyes snap to his "Al?" I ask looking up Rosalie, she looks at me with a soft smile "which is why she left" Bella says "why didn't she take Soffia? she also has more abilities then most and he has never has anyone like her" Edward ask, They all look at me making me shrink.

"Rosie, tell them to stop" I whine as I hide my face into her side. "Benjamin, Tia we're leaving" Amun says pulling me back out of my hiding. My eyebrows furrow as I see them move "And where will you go? What makes you think they'll be satisfied with Alice? What's to stop them from going after Benjamin next? Or Zafrina or Kate or anyone else with a gift? Anyone they want. Their goal isn't punishment, it's power. It's acquisition. Carlisle might not ask you to fight, but I will. For the sake of my family. But also for yours. And for the way you want to live." Edward says.

"I'll fight" I say pulling myself from Rosalie as I stand closer to Edward, he sends me a nod with smile as I send one back. Rosalie sends me a worried look but of course will fight along side us. "The packs will fight. We've never been afraid of vampires" Jacob says. The Delani's stand. "We will fight" Tanya says. "This won't be the first time I fought a kings rule" Garrett says.

All the vampires step forward making a sense of pride go through me. These vampires are willing to risk themselves to help us protect our family.

A day passes as everyone is preparing for what could happen within the next days. Rosalie and Emmett are off somewhere doing something and i'm just sitting alone outside watching as everyone helps Bella make her shield bigger to help protect everyone instead of just herself.

"Auntie Fia" Renesmee says coming over to me "yes kid?" I mumble softly staring my eyes away from everyone "I'm scared, what if this fight causes us to lose our family?" she says tears threatening to fall "hey come here" I say pulling her into my lap "Our family is strong, we will do everything to protect you" I say, "wanna know a secret?" I say.

She nods looking up at me "i'm scared too" I admit as her eyes open wider "really? I thought adults don't get scared" she says, "everyone gets scared Nes, your mom and dad both get scared even Auntie Rosie gets scared" I say, she giggles "no way Aunt Rosie is scary how can she be scared?" she says making my laugh loudly causing a few heads to turn.

"Yes she is pretty scary huh? but she's scary cause she wants to protect us and our family but that doesn't mean she's not also get scared" I say making her nod her head she plants a kiss on my cheek as she hugs me "Thank you Auntie Fia" she says softly "anytime Nes" I say kissing her head. "run along inside okay?" I say as she nods before going along.

I'm pretty positive it's her nap time now anyways, that girl is always trying to run away from it. I watch as Edward goes down from Kates ability making me chuckle. I bite my lip watching everything around me, everything feels too much and I just wish Alice and Jasper were back with me and I can hide in their arms.

I sign as I lean my head on my knees, I need them to come back. "Hey bunny, you look a little down what's wrong?" Rosalie says coming over to me. "Everything feels too much, I want them to come home now" I say looking up at her with big eyes. "come here little bunny, relax okay i've got you. You don't have to stay big for everyone else" she says placing a kiss on my head as she pulls me into her lap.

I sigh as I lay my head back and let her hold me, feeling a switch go off in me "Aunt Rosie" I mumble making her smile and pull me closer "yes baby?" she says, "can we go inside to my room and cuddle? can you read to me like mama does?" I ask, she smiles and nods before standing up. "You want me to carry you baby?" she ask I shake my hand just take her hand standing very close to her.

I notice her send a small head nod to Emmett as we make our way into the house. I quickly take off to my room avoiding all the stares and vampires lingering around. I jump into my bed and wait for Rosalie to come in "Hey little one, Aunt Rosie got you a bottle of blood cause I think you are to little to go feeding right now and you were suppose to go out with Emmett and I" she says softly handing me the bottle.

I smile and take the bottle, holding up to my mouth before suckling on it feeling the blood go down my throat making me sigh happily. Auntie Rosalie lays down next to and pulls me on her lap as I cuddle into her "what book bunny?" she ask, I stick my hand out pointing to the one on my table that I was reading.

She moves slightly to reach for it before sitting up and starting to read, I drink my blood fairly quickly as she reads and run her hand through my hair. "Just close your eyes and rest, even though you can't sleep it's good you have a breather and relax okay bunny?" Auntie Rosie says making me nod and close my eyes as she continues to read.

Next chapter, Christmas without Alice and Jasper. Poor Soffia! But at-least she has the rest of her family.
