I walked with Scott to the elevator and Liam was right behind us. "My dad's helping out in surgery. He's not gonna be done for hours. So I'm either hanging out here or I could still go with you guys..."
"Liam, you are not going with us." I said.
"Show me your hands." Scott told Liam and I froze in place. He probably knew this whole time. Of course he knew. He smelled the blood. Liam looked around and then showed his hands, covered in blood. "Okay, so I'm still having trouble." He finally admitted. I stayed quiet waiting for Scott to say something.
"No. You are still learning." Scott said and smiled encouragingly at Liam. "What do you do to stay focused on not changing?"
Liam pointed to his earphones. So that's why he had them on almost all the time.
"But it's not working." Liam pointed out.
"It's working enough. Listen, Derek told me that you were one of the strongest that he'd ever seen at your age." Scott said.
"That means a lot, especially from Derek." I backed up to the elevator and Scott held the doors so it won't close.
"Maybe it means that things are gonna be harder for you for a while, but it also means something else, doesn't it?" Scott asked.
Liam shrugged. "That I am really strong?"
"Hell yeah." Scott said and I smiled at Liam as the doors closed.
"He is going to be okay, right?" I asked him.
Scott nodded then looked at me. "Are you going to be okay? You and Stiles, you guys smell like anxiety all the time."
"It's... I just want everything to be perfect, you know? It's our last year." Scott hugged me.
"It's gonna be perfect, I promise." He smiled at me.
The elevator stopped and as the doors opened and we saw Stiles who was waiting for us.
"Still can't reach Kira." Scott said.
"Wait, you reminded her about tonight though, right?" I asked feeling anxious again.
"I think so. She only texted me once this week."
"You think so? You think? No no no no. You have to know, not think. You guys I am going out I need fresh air." I said and jogged out of the hospital. I looked up and took a deep breath. The rain was close, it will start any minute. I could feel it. It was closer and closer with every second that past and then I felt first drops on my face and I smiled. It turned from few drops to downpour and I started dancing through the rain and laughing.
"What the hell are you doing? Get into the car." I heard Stiles and I turned and saw as he is running with Malia to get to the car as soon as possible. I was still laughing as we got into the car.
"You are crazy." Malia shook her head but she was laughing too.
"Yeah but the good kind of crazy." I laughed again.
"I am not sure if something as good kind of crazy is even a thing." Stiles said.
"Come on Stiles. We are all a little crazy inside." I argued with him. "Where is Scott?" I didn't even notice until now that one of us is missing.
"He went to get Kira. We'll meet them later." Stiles said and our eyes met in the driving mirror. He was worried as much as I was.
"Why is it taking so long? Why didn't they send me the email?" Malia looked at Stiles and then at me.
"I'm sure you've got it. Just wait, you'll see. I have a good feeling about this." I lied but I focused on keeping my heartbeat slow. I smiled when it worked. Malia smiled at me and she relaxed a bit. Good, because we don't need more people in this car be worried about something. When we stopped by the school Stiles and Malia ran to area that was under roof but I took my time and gave them some space. I didn't want to be third wheel. I was looking at all the seniors that came.
"Someone is coming, someone quick." I heard Malia saying and when I turned I saw her as she knocked out. I ran to them. "What are you doing here, Liam?"
"Scott's in trouble." He said. I exchanged look with Stiles. It is happening again.
