"That was Lydia." I said when I ended the call. I don't know why I said it, I am sure Theo listened to our conversation.
"So Malia had some sort of flashback?" He asked. I was right, he was listening.
"Yeah, from that night when her mom and sister died."
"I thought you said that the Desert Wolf is her mom." He said confused.
"The Desert Wolf is her biological mom." I corrected him. "It's kind of complicated.
"Right."
We dropped of Malia and we were sitting in his car parked in front of my house. But I didn't feel about leaving yet.
"Do you want.." "Can you.." We said at the exact same time and both of us laughed.
"You first." He said and smiled.
"I just.. Can you stay?" I asked. I looked at him and his smile turned into smirk. I rolled my eyes. "I didn't sleep much in the last couple of days and I just thought that if I won't be alone in my room..." I started babbling.
"You don't have to explain yourself."
I nodded. We walked to my house.
"Do you want anything? Coffee? Tea?"
"No, I'm good. Thank you though. Can I take a shower?"
"Um.. yeah bathroom is upstairs. Second door, right next to my bedroom." I said and smiled. He smiled thankfully and disappeared on the second floor. I went into Kyla's room and took sweatpants and t-shirt that her ex-boyfriend left there. I jogged to my bedroom and left the clothed on the bed. I was just leaving when the shower stopped and I heard the door open. I turned, seeing Theo with nothing but towel around his waist. Water dripping from his toned chest. I coughed awkwardly feeling the blood rushing to my face.
"Um.. I was just.. um.. leaving clothes for you."
Theo walked to the bed and his arm brushed against mine as he picked up the clothes. I immediately took a step back but my legs hit the headboard and I almost fell. Theo caught me and secured me. I was too embarrassed to look into his eyes so I just stared at my hands which were pressed against his chest.
"Whoa. You heart is beating really fast. Do I make you nervous?" He asked and I didn't have to look up because I could hear that he is smirking.
"No, I am just freaked out because I heard something in the kitchen." I lied quickly.
"Sure you did." I finally looked up. He was looking at me with a grin on his face. I pushed him slightly and grabbed my shorts and oversized t-shirt heading to the bathroom to change. I looked into the mirror and saw myself standing there with my hands shaking and my chest moving as I was breathing heavily. I didn't want this. I didn't ask for this. But here I am looking into my own eyes reflecting in the mirror and all I can see is Theo. Strangely I don't see his body, his perfect hair and handsome face when I think about him. I see him as the boy that is kind to me, that is caring and who will come in the middle of the night because he knows I need him even when I didn't say it out loud. The boy that make me laugh when I am sad and make me calm when I am anxious. The one that saw the best in me even when I told him I killed Donovan. But mostly I see the boy that I knew as a child. The boy that I slowly fell in love with before I even knew what love is. The same boy that I was falling for right now.
