If any of your classmates could see you now, you had no doubt they would be incredibly confused. After all, it wasn't exactly common to see students hanging out with their teachers outside of class, even less so seeing them enjoy a cup of coffee together at a cat cafe.
"Have you thought about what your special moves are going to be?"
You gently pet the adorable tabby cat, wishing that your quirk allowed you to kidnap (or, sorry–rescue) normal animals, and tilted your head. "Special moves?"
"Powerful moves that can make or break a fight. All pros have them," Aizawa said. "All Might has Detroit Smash, I have Binding Cloth... You'll need at least a couple of them if you want to do well in your provisional license exam. Not to mention for class on Monday. We're going to be taking some time to practice, but don't tell anyone I spoiled it for you."
"I knew I was your favorite," you said.
"Shut up."
"You'll admit it one day."
To be completely honest, the idea of 'special moves' had sort of slipped your mind. And now that you were being forced to think about it, you found yourself at a loss. After all, your quirk relied on summoning creatures that already had movesets; it wasn't like you could just make up something new for them to do.
Right?
Well, that was what you assumed, at least. The truth was you'd never actually tried to ask your Pokemon to do anything other than their traditional movesets or just a simple "hey, go attack, please help me". Was it really possible that you could create your own moves? Pokemon were intelligent creatures, after all; if you could do it, it would likely be easier than trying to teach a dog to roll over or something of that sort.
"Got an idea?" Aizawa asked, breaking you out of your thoughts.
You pet the adorable kitten one last time and stood. "Maybe. Can we test something out?"
As disheartening as it was to leave the cat cafe (despite your promise to all the cats that you'd be back the first chance you got), you found yourself genuinely excited to be at the gym you and Aizawa trained at regularly. Usually you felt premature exhaustion or at least a bit of dread when you knew you'd be sparring with your teacher, considering he was a pro hero and all, but you were actually looking forward to seeing if any of your Pokemon would be able to create new moves.
You figured it would be best to summon one of your most familiar creatures, so after a quick activation of your quirk, Glaceon was standing in between you and Aizawa. Although he had changed since you'd first gotten to know him as Eevee, he was still undyingly loyal to you and if anything, his evolution at the Sports Festival seemed to have increased your connection.
"So," you said, pulling your Pokedex out of your back pocket and showing Aizawa the screen. "You know how my Pokedex gives me information about the Pokemon I fight? Like their type, weaknesses, and so on?"
Aizawa nodded. He was relatively well-versed with how your quirk and support items operated thanks to having spent so much time out on PPA missions with you.
"Well, it also tells me moves that they can do," you explained. "There are some basic moves that are just simple attacks which every Pokemon can do, but they all have individual attacks, too. Like Glaceon, one of his moves is called Icy Wind, so if I were to yell that out, he would know what to do. But since those are kind of just part of my normal quirk, I was wondering... would it be possible for me to create my own moves?"
"I guess there's only one way to find out," Aizawa said. "What are the moves this guy already knows?"
You consulted both your knowledge and your Pokedex. "Well, there's Icy Wind, which basically is what it sounds like. Ice Shard, Ice Fang, Snowscape, Blizzard... Basically a bunch of stuff to do with ice. Maybe I should just steal whatever Todoroki's idea for an ultimate move is."
